Before applying, please make sure you are interested in backend development.Internships at TikTok aim to provide students with hands-on experience in developing fundamental skills and exploring potential career paths. This Internship Program runs for 12 weeks beginning in May/June 2025. Successful candidates must be able to commit to one of the following summer internship start dates:Monday, May 12Monday, May 19Tuesday May 27 (Memorial Day May 26)Monday, June 9Monday, June 23We will prioritize candidates who are able to commit to these start dates. Please state your availability clearly in your resume (Start date, End date).Responsibilities:Assist in designing, developing, testing, and deploying scalable distributed services for account systems and identity management.Work with Product Managers and business partners to support effective identity solutions.Show commitment to the product and service, providing insights and support to the engineering team.Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to support new product innovations and engineering initiatives.Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:Currently pursuing an Undergraduate/Graduate/Master in Software Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline.Able to commit to working for 12 weeks during Summer 2025.Experience in Android/iOS software development.Basic understanding of designing and evaluating the efficiency, scalability, and stability of distributed systems.Preferred Qualifications:Graduating December 2025 onwards with the intent to return to degree program after the completion of the internship.Willingness to learn how to drive change within an organization and contribute to complex technical projects.Interest in building maintainable and testable code bases, including API design and unit testing techniques.Enthusiasm for learning about technical leadership in the domain of Identity and Access.Experience in the development and implementation of identity, authentication, and access management.TikTok is committed to creating an inclusive space where employees are valued for their skills, experiences, and unique perspectives.
