Senior Technical Designer - Dockers, Levi's Outerwear

Success Profile:The Sr. Technical Designer is responsible for ensuring that design vision is translated into a well-constructed and manufacturable garment that reflects brand's esthetics and design integrity. As a member of the Technical Design team, you will conduct fit sessions, communicate fit session to vendors, G-III global offices and work cross-functionally to ensure accuracy of garment measurements, fit, construction details and flow of information while addressing any technical challenges during the development and production process.This is an exciting time for a Sr. Technical Designer with 8 + years of professional experience in a SKU intensive environment to join the Technical Design team as the Sr. Technical Designer for Dockers, Levi's and Tommy Hilfiger.Location (On Site): 512 7th Avenue, Midtown - Manhattan - Fashion DistrictResponsibilitiesMeasure garments and organize for fittingsCoordinate fit schedule and conduct fittingsCreate initial spec to final full graded specConsult with designer to work on complicated garment construction and establish the fit for each brandInput in Tech packs with corrections / comments during fittingCreate and manage Work In Progress reportsCoordinate the production / delivery schedule weekly and coordinate fitting and fit samples accordinglyEmail / follow-up as needed with over-seas vendorsOrganize and maintain seasonal trim card libraryQualifications8 + Years of apparel Technical Design experienceBA/BS Degree required or AA Fashion DegreeExcellent communication skillsFunctional basic knowledge in technical fit & constructionSketch technical in IllustratorAbility to work in team environmentSuper Detailed and OrganizedComputer literate - Excel, Illustrator, Photoshop.
