Associate Technical Designer

Job Description: The Associate Technical Designer will work closely with the Head Technical Designer to execute superior and consistent fits. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented candidate to grow and learn in a dynamic, growing company.ResponsibilitiesWork closely with PD and Tech Design to create accurate tech packsCreate and maintain seasonal tech packs from development to productionReview and measure samples throughout the product cycles to ensure accurate execution of measurements, quality, and constructionCollaborate with head of Tech Design for guidance for best quality and construction executionCompose detailed comments including fit photos and illustrations to convey corrections or revisions to vendorsCreate and update technical sketches in IllustratorSpec and organize samples for fittings and record fit commentsCommunicate to vendors throughout product sample stages to ensure brand's aesthetic and qualityMonitor and track with a sense of urgency to meet target dates.Create season WIP reports and record receipt of samples and distributeMaintain seasonal garment library archiveAdhere to seasonal calendar deadlinesRequirements:4 + years' work experience in the fitness / athleisure apparel industry, with a clear understanding of the product cycle processKnowledge of garment construction including ISO sewing stitchesAbility to follow directions and adaptability to work in a changing work environmentStrong organizational skills, with ability to multi-task in a deadline driven work environmentStrong communication skills; written and verbal with vendors and cross functional teams.Detailed orientated with outstanding follow through with a sense of urgency to hit calendar datesProficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe- Illustrator with strong technical drawing skillsAbility to work independently and with cross functional teams and able to prioritizeFlexible, positive can do attitude with strong work ethicsFull-time onsite positionCompany Overview:Splits59 is a women's activewear company i nspired by the beauty of sport and the power of intelligent design.We are the next step in the evolution of activewear for women.
