Location Description

Edith Macy Center is a conference center located in Briarcliff Manor, New York, 45 minutes from Manhattan. Edith Macy Center has more than 14,000 square feet of indoor conference space, 58 sleeping rooms, and we are situated among 405 wooded acres in the heart of Westchester County. Overview

Edith Macy Conference Center is seeking an individual to assist with rooming our groups into the system and assisting with social media marketing of our property.

The successful candidate for this role will have a proven track record of providing exceptional service, is open to learning and leading by example, responds in a professional and courteous manner to guests and team, as well as being there to support the team both personally and professionally.

The Coordinator will be responsible for supporting our Sales Team and ensuring accuracy of group bookings in the reservations system.

The candidate will be responsible for the following:

Group Sales CoordinationResponsible for creating, managing and maintaining the accuracy of group bookings in the guestroom inventory management system (Maestro) from the time of entry until the final booking check is generatedResponsible for creating definite group booking reservations in the guestroom inventory management system (Maestro)Communicates group room block requests and revisions to the Front Office Team for entry into the guestroom inventory management system (Maestro)Ensures on-going verification and reconciliation of room blocks between the Front office and Sales on a regular basisEnsures accurate updating of group room pickups after departure into the sales system databaseSales and Marketing Coordination

Assists sales team with proposals as needed and the conference team with event order distribution as neededConduct market research for new client development initiativesRegularly updates client database in the sales management system (Delphi)to ensure accuracy for future marketing projectsCollaborate with Director of Sales and marketing on the creation of social media projects targeting new businessEnhance client messaging across multiple social media platforms in order to grow client databaseQualifications

Bachelor's Degree preferredTwo years' experience in the hospitality industry or in a professional, office environmentProficient in computer useAbove average proficiency working with Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and OutlookExcellent oral and written communication skillsPleasant telephone mannerMust be able communicate effectively with guests, peers and superiors in a positive mannerDetail oriented with focus on ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks at onceGood organizational, time management and follow through skillsDelphi and hotel experience is preferred, but not required.

Compensation Range

The compensation for this position is $20.00/Hr. - $22.00/Hr. based on qualifications and experience.
