About our Team

The LexisNexis Risk Solutions - Government Marketing Director is the 'Strategic Vertical Marketing Lead' responsible for initiating and driving marketing strategies and plan development for both the VitalCheck & Payment Solutions teams, including marketing vital records to the consumer markets and vital records and payment solution offerings to government agencies). This position will also manage and support several Senior Marketing Specialists and all marketing activities including, but not limited to account-based marketing (ABM), demand generation, brand awareness and retention activities (i.e., email, advertising, communications, social, events and webinars), messaging and content creation, sales tool kit development, product & industry specific marketing communications to internal and external stakeholders. This role will work with the vertical leadership team and the business unit (i.e., the vertical general manager/market planners, sales directors, business development/channel partner directors, and functional area department leads to ensure that the marketing efforts for the vertical are on target/on brand and meet the needs of the organization from a demand generation, customer retention ad thought leadership position

About the Role

The Marketing Director will work closely with the respective sector stakeholders and subject matter experts to differentiate the LexisNexis Risk Solutions and VitalChek brand, help drive LexisNexis Risk Solution business priorities forward (including demand generation and retention efforts), innovate new marketing and communications solutions. This role also facilitates marketing and communications targeting activities through assisting with social media and Pay-Per-Click (PPC) campaigns, managing Search Engine Optimization (SEO) activities such as content strategy, link building and keyword strategy, supporting business expansion initiatives, developing promotional marketing materials, and targeting tools, and managing major promotional events such as trade shows, industry speaking events, sponsorships, and internal conferences related to key prospects and customers.

ResponsibilitiesManaging and running the PPC and SEO Optimization programs for VitalChek and providing performance and success metrics for the business.

Focusing on direct marketing activities, this role will encompass account-based marketing, lead generation, and retention for the assigned verticals.

Managing and creating an annual events calendar that incorporates lead generation, thought leadership, and vertical development. This position will leverage the help of the Marketing Channels/Events team as they will deliver an initial annual events proposal and manage all logistics and on-site facilitation. In addition, user conferences, and webinar planning are major components of this position due to the strategic planning, execution, cost, and analysis of these types of events.

Aligning fully with the Sales organization is one of the main goals of this position, whether that involves setting the go-to-market strategy, executing specific campaigns and programs, or acting as the liaison between the Marketing department and the Sales organization.

Participating in the creation and management of the specific business's marketing budget. Assuming budgetary responsibility for the assigned marketing activities. Creating and driving marketing initiatives that will maximize sales and profitability. Working with Marketing Operations to track, analyze, and report marketing results per initiative on a monthly and quarterly basis (depending on the audience).

Having at least one direct report, this position requires the development and management of direct reports, which is critical for success in this role.

Requirements

Must have a 4-year College degree (preferably in Marketing or Business) or equivalent in work experience. MBA preferred.

Must have a minimum of 10 + years in-depth, business-to-business and/eCommerce consultation and strategy development. Marketing experience for the assigned vertical is preferred

Have proven experience managing direct reports, and leading and developing teams.

Able to review marketing analysis to uncover underlying drivers, assess potential impact and design metrics.

Have the ability to serve as a strategic partner to business stakeholders by advising on marketing best practices and concepts.

Be an influential communicator with excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Have experience working in a highly complex matrix environment with multiple stakeholders and vendor relationships.

Have experience in using contact management systems, CRM and/or marketing databases and the know-how to leverage its functionality to maximize lead generation and up-sell/cross-sell opportunities.

Have experience with integrated lead generation, retention and incubation programs and processes.
