The Marketing Manager will support fundraising goals by leading a team of marketing specialists to promote strategic initiatives in community awareness, engagement, and education on topics of food security in our local service area. This role works closely with the Philanthropy team to cultivate and develop broad community awareness of United Food Bank's mission, activities, and opportunities for volunteer and donor engagement. The Marketing Manager will collaborate with Marketing and Philanthropy team members to build a strong brand and align compelling messaging in a one-to-many Marketing strategy in order to grow our donor base in a way that motivates them to help those in need in our local community. This role will provide leadership, accountability, and motivation for the Marketing team and provide development opportunities for their professional growth.

Responsibilities: include, but are not limited to, the following:

Campaign Development & Management (50%)

Oversee performance marketing across the donor and volunteer lifecycle, including targeting, segmentation, creative production, content strategy, media buying, performance analysis, and campaign optimization.Drive integrated marketing campaign development and Go-To-Market execution of signature fundraising and business partnership campaigns.Manage and enhance relationships with external partners and resources, ensuring strategic alignment and execution of campaign strategy, messaging, design, production, and approvals.Provide high-level oversight of media opportunities and public relations efforts, ensuring alignment with overall marketing goals and organizational strategy.Content Strategy & Execution (30%)

Guide and refine branding and storytelling strategies to support overall marketing and revenue growth objectives.Oversee the development and execution of content strategies across various platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and target audience engagement.Champion powerful, human-centered storytelling that brings the mission, brand, and services to life.Lead the creation and management of content for diverse channels, including website, social media, video, and email marketing.Team Leadership (20%)

Set strategic goals and KPIs for the Marketing team, ensuring high performance, effective execution, and alignment with organizational objectives.Communicate marketing strategies, performance, and results to leadership regularly.Mentor and develop a high-performing marketing team, fostering a collaborative and results-driven environment.Other duties as assigned by the Director of Marketing.

Requirements

Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree or Associate's degree (A.A.) (or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school) and at least 1 year of supervisory experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.At least 5 years experience in a marketing or fundraising role, preferably in a nonprofit or similar environment.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office, specifically Word and Excel.Salesforce CRM and Mailchimp experience preferred.Strong strategic thinking and leadership skills.Excellent verbal and written communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills.Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.Proficiency in marketing analytics and performance tracking.Experience with branding, storytelling, and content creation.Ability to mentor and grow a high-performing team.Able to effectively communicate and interact with diverse clientele and staff.Detail-oriented and self-motivated individual.Must be flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the food bank.Ability to effectively analyze situations and resolve routine and complex problems.Ability to work in a team environment.Adept at handling multiple tasks and concurrent projects.Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Physical demands and work environment:
