Description

This role is responsible for supporting the coordination of global marketing resources, tactics, and trade shows. Under general supervision, this role works with team members and contracted public relations and advertising agencies to execute marketing programs.

This is a non-exempt, full-time position based at our headquarters in Modesto, CA.

The following duties are typical of those performed by employees in this job title; however, employees may perform other related duties.

Supports Global Market Development (GMD) trade marketing team to coordinate tradeshow logistics by contracting for booth space, arranging for promotional materials, coordinating booth and material shipping, securing assistance of vendors, securing appropriate insurance certificates, and similar duties.Responsible for event logistics for various local events such as orchard and media tours.Coordinates printing, proofs, and preparation of signs, banners, and promotional materials for trade shows, conferences, and other needs.Provides logistical support for food professional task forces and research activities.Coordinates with Marketing Services to ensure important files are uploaded to databases (SharePoint, Huddle, Media Valet, etc.) for reference.Monitors general e-mail accounts, reads and evaluates marketing-related correspondence and replies on behalf of the Board.As needed, submits contracts and documents to the USDA for review and approval.Ensures review process is followed assigning approvers of materials including infographics and recipes, to check facts, layout, and grammar.As needed, coordinates specific program tasks as part of marketing program tactics.Ensures website consistency of content serving food professional audiences across markets.Works with ABC and agency teams to regularly audit dated and redundant content. As needed, works on meta tag information to new and existing assets.Maintains foodservice recipe database, working with ABC teams and agencies to upload new recipes and documents.Qualifications:

Strong grasp of the principles and practices of public relations, advertising, and marketing.Good organizational and project management skills, with a high degree of accuracy in work output.Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.Orientation to a customer service approach, providing results and solutions in a timely manner.Excellent knowledge of English grammar, spelling and punctuations, and accepted elements of writing style with strong proofreading and editing skills.Intermediate level proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.Demonstrated ability to exercise good judgment and strong initiative.Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments with high degrees of task deadline pressure while maintaining attention to detail and quality.Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.Ability to travel nationally and internationally to attend tradeshows, conferences, and meetings to collaborate with outside agencies and vendors. Must possess a valid international passport or be able to obtain one within 60 days of employment.Ability to work outside of traditional business hours when needed.Education and Experience: A typical way to obtain the above knowledge and skill is a combination of education and experience equivalent to:

A bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience) in marketing, public relations, or closely related subject and a minimum of 5 years of previous experience working in a trade show, project management, or event coordination role with collateral and content responsibility as part of a marketing or sales team.
