The Free Press audience is growing quickly, and we're looking for a brilliant, innovative person to supercharge that growth across our newsletters, website, and live events, as well as our audio and video franchises. The Marketing Manager will work across a range of teams including the social media team, communications team, and editorial team, reporting into the COO, but interfacing with everyone at The FP.

Responsibilities

Segment and target new audiences and introduce them to our website, newsletters, and subscription offerings, in coordination with our subscription and product leadsCreate and execute partnerships, paid marketing, earned media, and social media campaigns for new audio and video projects, including our flagship podcast, HonestlyPlan multi-platform go-to-market strategies for limited audio shows, video series, and livestream productsIn coordination with the events team, develop marketing strategies for our live events business to drive ticket sales, awareness and responseManage campaigns with our social media, communications and editorial teams around news events that affect all channels of our businessDevelop and manage an analytical framework to track effectiveness of our marketing campaigns, and prepare deliverables with future recommendations on an ongoing basisThink creatively and proactively to drive merchandise campaigns in order to build brand awareness.Qualifications

Be an excellent writer and communicator with a strong ability to articulate our values and voice across different audiences and channelsThorough understanding of independent media and news media landscapeTrack record of building and executing omnichannel marketing campaignsAnalytics and reporting experience and familiarity with tools such as GAEnthusiastic and adaptable, with a proactive approach to problem-solvingAbility to work collaboratively in a team environment while also being self-motivated and independentSense of humor is a plus!An embrace of a scrappy start-up environment with a willingness to jump in wherever needed to help the team succeed
