BlueStar Resort & Golf - Central Services Main Office

BlueStar is a boutique management firm focused on supporting developers, asset managers, and community Boards in the successful operation of their resort and golf amenities. Our expertise is in all aspects of hospitality management, including golf, spa, food & beverage, community clubs, and more, particularly in active adult or age-qualified residential communities. We also provide full-scale landscape services in some locations. Our portfolio spans literally from coast to coast, with many beautiful locations in between.

Where:

Located in Scottsdale, Arizona

Pay: $110,000-$115,000 annual Bonus Eligible

Benefits:

New management full-time team members working 30 hours or more per week, will be eligible for the Company medical, dental and life insurance plans the first of the month following the first day of full-time employment.

Full-Time team members are eligible to accrue Paid Time Off ("PTO") in accordance with the Company policy at a rate of 120 hours per year.

Full-Time team members are eligible for 7 paid holidays annually.

All team members 21 years and older are eligible to participate in the J.F. Shea Co., Inc. 401(k) plan after completion of 30 days of service.

POSITION OVERVIEW:

The Director, Marketing is responsible for the strategic planning and implementation of marketing and communication materials for BlueStar Resort & Golf and the BlueStar Resort & Golf network of facilities. The role involves leadership in project and budget planning, client support, copywriting, video and website maintenance, maintaining social media presence, and motivating and inspiring the Marketing, Lifestyle, and Communications team. This position reports to the President.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:Communicate the core values and mission of BlueStar Resort & Golf (BSRG) to support the achievement of company goals.Create a productive and enjoyable work environment to inspire, motivate, and lead by example, with an intention to recognize team member performance.Lead the development of marketing strategies while working closely with multiple teams and clients.Oversee all marketing and communication team members responsible for various segments and projects.Manage and ensure the execution of all marketing projects and campaigns.Provide supervision, develop and monitor team member performance goals.Support the staff hiring and training process.Quality assure all communications efforts, including emails, websites, and official company correspondence.Create and maintain brand images, research target audiences, support marketing campaigns, and encourage creative and innovative marketing solutions within the marketing team; manage multiple concurrent projects.Determine relevant market research studies, analyze findings, and support marketing projects based on results.Provide client consultation and support and project management for multiple business locations.Oversee media planning, website maintenance, copywriting, and social media management.Manage multiple concurrent projects.Lead the business-to-consumer social media presence for the experiences within the BSRG portfolio.Copywriting for online and print marketing materials including ad campaigns, website copy, social posts and competitions, and other content as required.Growing revenue at BSRG facilities as assigned.Support the budget creation process and monitor the budget to assure revenues and expenses are meeting the department's financial goals.Track client data and create reports as requested.Provide administrative and general office support.Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.PERSONAL ATTRIBUTES:

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS:

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, English, or related field required.Eight to Ten years of experience and/or training in the hospitality management sector of private country clubs, restaurants, or golf, with supervisory experience required.Experience in multi-unit environments.Fluency in social media management and strategy.Computer literate with working knowledge of Microsoft Office.Knowledge of marketing tools: Customer Relationship Management (CRM), Adobe Design, email delivery, surveys social media, public relations systems, photography and video skills, etc.Exceptional writing and proofreading skills required.Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and government regulations, and keep current with trends in consumer marketing.Ability to understand the consumer more fully via primary and secondary research methods.Ability to write reports and correspondence.Knowledgeable about financial forecasting and budgets with ability to create and maintain effective financial accountability to the company and ownership.Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.Must be flexible and adaptable.Must be creative and innovative and willing to work with existing standards and procedures.Must have strategic planning, change management, problem-solving, decision-making, delegation, time management, supervisory and employee development skills.Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to respond to the needs and requests of staff members and clients.Must be able to consistently achieve high work standards; attention to detail, accuracy, and timeliness.Must demonstrate initiative-ability to think, work, and make independent decisions, based on sound judgment.Must be able to pay attention to multiple details and be comfortable working in a fast- paced environment where continuous improvement is expected.This position requires a flexible schedule to include evenings and weekends, with limited travel required.Valid driver's license is required.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

This position operates in a professional indoor office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment, such as computers, phones, copy and fax machines. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
