Assistant Director - Marketing Content

At the direction of the Executive Director of Marketing and Communications, this position provides support and strategy in marketing activities related to recruitment and enrollment for the Lafayette service area. This position will also provide support and assistance for internal and external events.

Drives day-to-day management of social media platforms.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist with developing campus marketing, recruitment, retention, and development of print and electronic collateral.Assist with developing and updating web content including working with Creative Services.Manages social media outreach including Facebook, Instagram, and other campus pages in collaboration with Executive Director.Assists with videography and photography efforts including organizing, filming, and editing materials for the campus.Maintain a content marketing calendar that schedules all aspects of the creation and delivery of content throughout the year.Assist with special events and public functions as directed by supervisor, including commencement and other special events.Serves as a secondary contact for local media.Keep abreast of the latest social media best practices and technologies and implement them when appropriate.Work collaboratively with other faculty and staff offices on campus to offer social media counsel to help them maximize their social media effectiveness.Lead strategy, content development, and responsiveness related to the Lafayette service area social media channels.Develop and implement social media campaigns, use the appropriate tools to measure the success of each campaign and make the appropriate adjustments based on those results.Represents marketing on various committees as directed by supervisor.Other duties logically associated with the position may be assigned.SUPERVISION RECEIVED: Executive Director, Marketing and Communications (Lafayette)SUPERVISION GIVEN: None, but may have opportunity to supervise interns or work studies.Benefits

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree in communications, marketing, graphic design, journalism, or related field of study.Ability to conceive fresh and appealing ideas for new content that establishes or supports the company's brand identityExtremely computer literateComfort with social media platforms including Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, and LinkedInOne to three years of related professional work experience.Experience with marketing and/or event planning.Must demonstrate strong organizational skills and ability to be self-motivated, deadline driven, and extremely detail-oriented including capability to readily adapt to changes in workflow.Strong knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and/or Premiere ProExperience or interest in graphic design, photography and videographyStrong written and verbal communication skills including proofreading/editing in a variety of voices.Must demonstrate strong problem-solving skills.Must demonstrate ability to promote an inclusive environment that reflects the broad diversity and backgrounds represented by our students and employees and which every individual feels respected and valued.Must possess strong computer skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite with the ability to learn systems in web content management, customer relation management database tool, and more.Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment producing high quality, accurate products on time.Strong organizational skills with an eye on communication, sharing information and resources, and identifying opportunities to improve systems/processes.Ready to contribute to a positive, supportive, and high-performing team culture.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in email marketing campaigns and/or CRM tools.Ability to take initiative, think critically, problem solve, and approach projects with a strategy in mind related to a target audience and a desired outcome.Ability to coordinate multiple projects simultaneously with appropriate prioritization and milestones.Ability to handle many assignments simultaneously with accuracy, on time, and in a fast-paced office.Great creativity and resourcefulness.Excellent communication and customer service skills.Experience with the following software: Canto, Canva, Zoom, Microsoft Teams.High confidence in working with technology, including video conferencing tools like Zoom/Microsoft Teams.Ability to listen attentively and understand details.
