SUMMARY:

As a member of the Product Development Team this role will be responsible for designing and developing individual products mostly consisting of sewn fabrics, and complete product lines, within our soft products such as sleeping bags, tents, towels, etc. to advanced levels of difficulty, complexity or breadth of scope. This includes early product conceptualization through detailed design specifications and into product manufacturing support.

The ideal person should have 1 - 3 of years of experience in product design and product development working with a variety of textiles.

To be effective in this role this individual must have advance CAD experience, preferably in Solidworks and/or Adobe Illustrator. This person also needs to have strong project management skills as well as interpersonal and oral presentation skills and experience. Someone with a high level of expertise in manufacturing techniques including but not limited to injection/compression molding, casting, sheet metal, machined parts, textile welding, cut and sew textiles is required.

This position is based in Reno, NV at our company headquarters.

MINIMUM/PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 4-year degree in Design, Engineering or related study, or 6 years equivalent experience required1+ years prior experience in a similar position with a preference to those candidates with textiles experienceInterpersonal and oral presentation skillsProject management experienceComputer experience and knowledge of Microsoft applications required (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project).Strong CAD experience required, preferably proficient in Solidworks and/or Adobe IllustratorExpertise in common manufacturing techniques including but not limited to injection/compression molding, casting, sheet metal, machined parts, textile welding, cut and sew.Strong skills with basic shop/lab tools and proceduresPassion for the product line(s)Continuous improvement mindset - lean experience is highly desirableActive outdoor participant is highly desirable
