The department also manages all digital communication platform projects and enhancements.SUMMARYThe Product Designer partners with IT and Communication Services to design user-centric digital products and experiences for students, families, and staff. They provide customer service as a Tier 2 technical liaison. Identify business needs through user research and recommend solutions through iterative process improvements and technical implementations. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide prompt and precise secondary-level analysis and customer support for digital platforms owned by Communication Services.Collaborate with IT staff and serve as a technical liaison.Conduct user research and compile digital communication requirements for various stakeholders, including staff, students, families, and community members.Identify, analyze, and implement recommended solutions to enhance information delivery to district audiences via digital communication platforms.Generate reports using Power BI and assist in developing analytics, assessments, and business intelligence that guide the application of digital efforts on behalf of the district.Apply project management skills to oversee the implementation, tracking, and progress reporting of digital planning activities.Write and submit knowledgebase (KB) articles, derived from fieldwork and source cultivation, to enhance support for various digital platforms.Participate in the design and process of change management systems and procedures.Collaborate directly with application development team members, IT management, change review management, and project teams.Seek professional development opportunities to enhance overall skills and meet review objectives.Perform other duties as assigned.EXPERIENCE:

3 years of combined experience information technology, product development and design.EDUCATION AND TRAINING:

Bachelor's degree required. Additional years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, OR REGISTRATIONS:

None required. Certifications showing advanced knowledge preferred for hire include certifications from NN/g, IAAP, PMI, ITIL and CompTIA.KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIESKnowledge of the principles of product design, including user-centered design, usability, and accessibility.Knowledge of best practices for UX, user research and usability testing.Familiarity with digital platforms such as CMS, mass communication systems, and CRM.
