We are hiring for a Medical Device Manufacturing company based out of Jacksonville, FL to relocate and join an awesome team of like minded individuals looking to kickstart their career in the 3D Design space!In this role you will be responsible for designing medical implant devices and components, working closely with engineers and product developers to bring innovative healthcare solutions to market. This role requires a strong understanding of design principles, material properties, and medical industry standards.Have you ever considered relocating to sunny Jacksonville, FL? Relocation packages are available.Key Responsibilities:3D Modeling & Design:Create detailed 3D models of medical devices, components, and assemblies using CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar).Ensure designs are optimized for manufacturing, taking into account material properties, cost efficiency, and production processes.Develop and maintain a library of 3D models, including parametric and non-parametric models, for use in various stages of product development.Collaboration & Communication:Work closely with cross-functional teams, including engineering, product development, quality assurance, and regulatory affairs, to ensure design specifications meet project requirements.Participate in design reviews, providing insights and recommendations for improvements.Communicate design intent clearly through detailed technical drawings and documentation.Prototyping & Testing:Assist in the development of prototypes by preparing files for 3D printing or other rapid prototyping techniques.Collaborate with the prototyping team to iterate on designs based on testing results and feedback.Support the engineering team in conducting feasibility studies and design validations.Compliance & Standards:Ensure all designs comply with relevant medical device regulations and standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA requirements).Maintain up-to-date knowledge of medical device design trends, technologies, and best practices.Document all design processes and changes according to company quality management systems (QMS).Continuous Improvement:Identify opportunities for improving design processes and tools.Participate in design workshops, training sessions, and continuous learning initiatives to stay current with industry developments.Qualifications:Education:Bachelor's degree in 3D DesignExperience:Internship experience in 3D design, preferably within the medical device or healthcare industry.Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo).Experience with rapid prototyping technologies (e.g., 3D printing).Skills:Strong understanding of medical device design and manufacturing processes.Excellent attention to detail and ability to create complex 3D models.Good communication skills and ability to work in a team environment.Knowledge of medical device regulations and standards (ISO, FDA, etc.).
