Speedway Motorsports maintains a consistent focus on four core principles:Take care of our teammatesBe known for remarkable eventsPositively impact the communityProfitably improveABOUT THE ROLE:The manager of social and digital content manages all social media platforms that fully support the marketing and publicity efforts for Las Vegas Motor Speedway, The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, LVMS Bullring and Dirt Track and Summit Racing Equipment Mayhem, creating compelling brand awareness and fan engagement opportunities.

Position PurposeLas Vegas Motor Speedway's Marketing Manager will work with and support the day-to-day operations of the Marketing Department. This position plays an instrumental role in the planning, promotion and execution of Speedway events, including (but not limited to) NASCAR and NHRA and responsible for the speedway's social media efforts. The ideal candidate will also be a productive and proactive self-starter who is passionate about his/her duties and willing to put forth the extra effort to achieve excellence.

RESPONSIBILITES

Develop, plan, and execute effective social media strategies and campaigns (both paid and organic) designed to engage, inform and entertainGenerate creative and compelling social media content (written, photo, video) for all social media platforms covering Las Vegas Motor Speedway, The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, LVMS Bullring and Dirt Track and Summit Racing Equipment Mayhem.Monitor social media trends and create topical, relevant speedway-centric content in accordance with speedway brand standardsStay abreast of cutting-edge social media applications and be a leader in implementing them for the companyDeliver a positive message on behalf of the company when engaging with fansManage social media needs of speedway partners, working with Corporate Sales department to plan and execute all deliverables within the scope of the speedway's overall social media plansPlan and coordinate graphic needs with marketing/creative department to ensure timely delivery of quality content for use in social/digital campaignsSupport sister track event-weekend social needs through SM workshare, including at least two additional weekends each yearCultivate strong relationships with social media contacts at NASCAR, race teams and news outlets to help coordinate shared efforts and extend the reach of speedway postsWork closely with speedway's PR and marketing teams to amplify appropriate messages regarding announcements, news, updates, etc.Lead event-time social media team during race weekends at Las Vegas Motor SpeedwayCreate reports tracking analytics of best/worst posts across platforms to help refine social strategy and provide executive team key insightsParticipate in Globe marketing/social media meetings and annual PR/Marketing summits to provide relevant social insights to help establish best practicesManage social media interns and event-time staff for live, on-the-job experienceDevelop, plan, and execute LVMS mobile app communications during event and non-event timeDevelop, plan, and execute LVMS text platform management during event and non-event timeMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Three to five years of experience generating social media content and/or publicity; live-event content creation and a familiarity with motorsports strongly preferredDemonstrated experience in designing and implementing successful organic and paid social media campaigns across a variety of platformsProficiency in shooting and editing creative photos and video; graphic design experience preferredAptitude in Microsoft Office Suite, Adobe Creative Suite and social media monitoringProven success working across various stakeholder groups to conceptualize and execute effective social mediaSuperior verbal/written communications skillsExcellent organizational skills and a strong attention to detailAbility to work independently as well as in team environmentsPosition requires ability to work nights and weekendsPosition requires occasional travel through Speedway Motorsports workshare program to other facilities to support other events
