Execute quarterly design process for the assigned line category, from concept to delivery. Work with Senior Apparel Designer on creative and product development to execute trends, as developed by creative director, that meet market needs and drive sales by ensuring timely execution of each stage in the process. Minimum- Bachelor's Degree Apparel Design related discipline or combination of relevant education and experience- Proficient in Microsoft Office- Knowledge of fabric construction performance, and processing and treatments relevant to assigned category- Ability to communicate details relating to all aspects of garment with suppliers- Skilled at InDesign, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator, CAD, flat sketching skills, and technical packages- Experience in developing/identifying seasonal trend and creating story and mood boards- Knowledge of silhouettes, fabrications, construction techniques, fit and trim- Sketching and design experience with sewing techniques, pattern construction- Proficient in PLM, Illustrator, Adobe Photoshop, InDesign- Strong attention to detail- Excellent oral/written communication skills

Desired- 2+ years of experience as assistant designer or designer, responsible for all facets of design and development in assigned category- Execute and partner with the Senior Apparel Designer to create a line/category that is on trend, sell-able and upholds the brand integrity- Keep abreast of current industry, design and apparel trends- Design by translating inspiration/creative ideas into viable, profitable and marketable product- Support design process from initial sketch to production on assigned category- Prepare line and presentation materials for line reviews and buyer meetings- Be prepared with proto samples, store bought samples, fabric swatches, sketches and tears during development meetings- Supervise and coach direct reports on the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports- Manage seasonal line sheets within the PLM system and maintain records so line sheets are updated and correct for product line selection- Approve fabric samples, lab dips and other development materials sent from factories; work collaboratively with internal material management teams to provide feedback and clear and concise direction in order to execute approvals properly- Review weekly sales and budgeted financial goals, discuss and make recommendations via weekly meetings for assigned category- Attend fit sessions with Senior Apparel Designer, product development and technical design teams to maintain the design aesthetic- Support Senior Apparel Designer with fabric selections; collaborate with product development team to ensure accurate information is communicated to vendors for sourcing- Review design samples and clearly communicate changes for timely project completion- Create technical flats of designs with accurate construction callouts, selection of raw materials and colors, manage development of Bill of Materials (BOM) data integrity and communicates design details to Technical Designers on assigned category- Interpret fashion, market trends and competitive product offerings on assigned product category to understand the over-all market; identify opportunities relevant to our product- Juggle multiple projects simultaneously while developing strong relationships with merchandising teams- Stay up to date on the design and development schedule to ensure timely completion- Must be able to perform the essential job functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation
