The primary responsibility will be to support the firm’s CEO in business development and client services efforts, including conducting research, writing and editing reports and correspondence, planning events, and handling external communication and social media platforms.The ideal candidate is highly organized, flexible, able to anticipate change, proactive, passionate and up to date on current financial markets and sustainability. The candidate should be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of professionalism and confidentiality. The candidate must be a team player who takes initiative, anticipates needs, and adapts to demanding and ever-changing situations. The Associate would have opportunities to attend certain meetings or events with the CEO.Specific Responsibilities include:Researching trends and topics in sustainable investing, finance, and international economicsAuthoring and producing reports, white papers, and commentaries in coordination with investment teamsCreating, compiling, and arranging meeting, event, and speaker briefing materialsCreating and editing internal and external presentationsDevelop and implement engaging social media campaigns, including drafting website and social media descriptions of teamwide and CEO eventsConceptualizing and organizing speaking events and webinars involving the CEO and external guestsCoordinating across business units to communicate and implement firm-wide priorities and practicesAd hoc projects and requests as neededMinimum Requirements:Strong academic background (or equivalent) including undergraduate or postgraduate courses in economics, finance, and data analyticsExperience in sustainable investing, communications, or consulting industriesStrong analytic and data analysis skillsExperience in managing communications and social media for financial services or related industriesExperience in economics, finance, and data analyticsUnderstanding of global financial markets, economic news, and business through study and workExperience working in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment with an ability to take charge and manage projects under tight deadlinesAbility to work flexible hours while taking ownershipExcellent verbal and written communication skillsA highly organized problem solver with a knack for developing and executing processes designed to maximize efficiencyProficient to advanced skills with MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Office365) and WordPressExperience in AI/ML and data visualization (e.g. Tableau and Canva) software skills are a plusRockCreek is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any employee or job applicant because of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, gender, gender identity, physical or mental disability, or age.
