Retail Marketing Manager

The Retail Marketing Manager is responsible for developing and executing marketing strategies that drive foot traffic, brand awareness, and sales growth within our retail locations. This role requires a strategic and creative leader responsible for orchestrating new store launch strategies, hosting impactful events for the interior design and trade communities, and driving sustained traffic to our retail locations. This role requires expertise in retail trends & event marketing, interest in the interior design & architectural industry, and the ability to develop innovative strategies that resonate with both design professionals and consumers. This role reports to the VP of marketing and will partner closely with marketing channel owners (Trade, Social, Email, etc.) and cross-functional teams and leaders, including VM, Stores, Merchandising, Operations, and Digital Marketing, to ensure successful store openings and sustained traffic growth.

The salary range for this position is

$110,000 to $140,000

per year. Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location. Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute comprehensive marketing plans for new store launches, including opening events, promotional activities, and community outreach.Coordinate with VM, Stores, Merchandising, Operations, and external partners to ensure seamless execution of store openings.Develop and implement marketing campaigns that drive traffic to retail stores, leveraging both traditional and digital marketing channels.Monitor the success of store launches and adjust strategies as needed to achieve traffic and sales targets.Plan, organize, and host events that cater to the interior design and architectural community, including product showcases, workshops, and networking opportunities.Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders in the design industry, including architects, interior designers, and industry influencers.Analyze customer data and market trends to create targeted marketing efforts aimed at specific customer segments, particularly within the design community.Collaborate with the digital marketing team to integrate online and offline strategies, creating an omnichannel experience that enhances customer engagement.Brand activation and community engagement: Ensure that all store launch and event initiatives align with the company’s brand messaging and positioning.Engage with local trade communities through partnerships, sponsorships, and participation in events to build brand awareness and loyalty.Innovate and experiment with new marketing tactics to differentiate the brand within the retail and design industries.Track and report on the effectiveness of store launches, events, and traffic-driving initiatives using key performance indicators (KPIs).Use data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and improve the impact of future campaigns.Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability within the marketing team.Analyze market trends, consumer insights, and competitor activities to inform marketing plans.Build and maintain relationships with external vendors, agencies, and partners to execute marketing campaigns.Negotiate contracts and agreements with third-party service providers.Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field.5-7 years of experience in marketing.Strong understanding of the retail and design industries, including key trends and consumer behavior.Previous focus on retail store launches, event planning, and traffic generation preferred.Proven ability to plan and execute successful events.Proficiency in digital marketing, social media, and CRM tools.Excellent communication, leadership, and project management skills.Ability to analyze data and translate insights into actionable marketing strategies.Creative and innovative thinker with a passion for driving brand engagement and sales.Strong sense of ownership and accountability.Builder by nature—eager to introduce and establish new ways of working.Ability to adapt, dynamic and proactive.Work independently or with limited guidance at times.
