The Plan Design Specialists focus on providing consultative services for qualified retirement plans (401(k)), 401(a), 403(b), and 457), including but not limited to; pre-sale support, post-sale support, document design, amendments, restatements and regulatory changes. The Plan Design Specialists utilize their ERISA knowledge and experience to design a plan or make recommendations that meet the company's goals and objectives. Discounts on fitness memberships, cell provider, childcare, travel, and more!What You Will Get To Do:Conversion Plans - Conducts a section-by-section, complete review of prospective plan documents to include adoption agreements, plan amendments, Summary Plan Description (SPD), plan valuations, past discrimination tests, Form 5500 filings, and participates in plan design calls if appropriate.Start-up Plans - Prepares detailed plan review summaries identifying actual and potential compliance issues. Identifies missing items and comments on plan provisions that may violate Federal regulations. Provides detailed explanations of the law affecting provisions. Recommends changes in order to make plan compliant.Works with plan and institutional clients to provide interpretation of plan provisions.Reviews plan documents in terms of operational, administrative and systems aspects. Validates available capabilities or identifies areas where TRAC support may be restricted.Completes adoption agreements; prepares Summary Plan Descriptions (SPD), board resolutions and other documentation with high quality and timeliness as required.Coordinates execution of the adoption agreement and board resolution.As needed, consults with Legal Department to review existing or converted plans, Summary Plan Descriptions (SPD), service agreements, plan amendments, and other documents to ensure compatibility with our standard prototypes.Researches and analyzes general or plan document specific compliance issues for internal and institutional clients.Generates plan amendments as requested, i.e., amendments to prototype plan as required by changes in the law and/or to improve administrative procedures.Participates in conference calls and meetings with institutional clients and plan sponsors.Completes special projects as assigned.Provides status reports to management and institutional clients on pending and completed work.Stay informed of new and upcoming changes in legislation affecting retirement plans through self - study, internal training classes and conferences.The Impact You Will Make:Bachelors and 2 years of work-related experience, or Master's degree or 4 years equivalent work-related experience.Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA), Department of Labor (DOL), Internal Revenue Service (IRS) regulations.Plan design and document language.TRAC, AWD, Relius, or FT Williams systems experienceStrong communications skills. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and effectively both verbally and in writing in order to prepare detailed plan reviews and discuss workflow with internal and external parties.Analytical/Problem Solving Skills. Ability to analyze, evaluate issues and provide guidance regarding actual and potential problems. Must display keen attention to details.Organizational, time management and project management skills. Ability to manage heavy and dynamic caseload and time pressures.
