University of Colorado Anschutz Medical CampusDepartment: Clinical Research Operations Support (CROS)Job Title: Marketing and Communications SpecialistPosition #: 00826143 - Requisition #: 34522Job Summary:This position will have responsibility for the development and oversight of both internal and external communications strategies that impact the Clinical Research Recruitment and Workforce Development Programs within the Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research (OVCR).This is a newly created position supporting the Office of Clinical Research Operations Support (CROS) focusing on communication efforts which impacts the OVCR. The ideal candidate will exhibit confidence in establishing and defining this new role and flexibility as the role evolves. The Marketing and Communication Specialist in this position will be able to build, maintain and nurture existing and new relationships with staff at all levels and with both internal & external stakeholders. This position requires a strategic thinker who is collaborative, approachable, responsive, and trustworthy.This specialist is skilled in design, writing, brand management, developing and executing strategic messaging campaigns and in creating recognition and visibility for research among key stakeholders. The candidate possesses an advanced understanding of traditional, social media, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate is bi-lingual and can translate and disseminate all the communications tools in SpanishKey Responsibilities:Internal Communications (30%)Send out announcements, RSVPs, and meeting invites for workshops, meetings, and other events throughout the year for the Clinical Research Recruitment and Workforce Development Programs.Help field request for the Recruitment and Workforce Development Programs.Assist with communications to research teams for the Research Studies Website and Newsletter.Oversee and maintain various vehicles of communication and awareness such as MS Teams channels, an intranet site, meeting announcements, emails, etc.

Design (20%)Create announcements for events for the Clinical Research Recruitment and Workforce Development Programs.Develop culturally relevant, unique, and engaging content for clinical research recruitment and social media advertising in Canva or similar platforms.Ensure all electronic and print materials are free from grammar and spelling errors and adhere to CU branding standards.Create, test, and send the bimonthly Research Studies Newsletter ensuring that all study teams meet requirements to be included in the newsletter.

Social Media (20%)Assist with the development of social media advertisements for clinical research recruitment for research teams across CU Anschutz.Help build and maintain social media presence on various platforms for the Clinical Research Recruitment Program.Communicate with research teams regarding social media campaign process, calendar, and advertisements in a timely manner.

Administrative (20%)Record attendance for all education trainings and program events.Update and post schedules, recordings, and curriculum on a regular basis.Send post-evaluation surveys or feedback forms for various events.Provide the highest level of customer support by providing timely and accurate responses and solutions to team needs.Assist with preparing for various events by reserving rooms, ordering food, sending Outlook invitations, recording meetings, printing materials, and ordering supplies, etc.Mange and submit expense reports and assist with financial tracking as needed.

Other (10%)Miscellaneous tasks as requested by direct supervisor in order to support the needs of the program.
