This includes landing pages, long-form articles, digital ads, social media, video, and email. With a focus on building Mortenson's brand around innovation, the Assistant Marketing Coordinator will leverage their passion for writing, storytelling, and sharing to generate brand awareness, educate audiences, share team member stories, and ultimately, differentiate Mortenson. Strong communication skills are necessary as you will be interacting with staff at all levels in an ever-changing environment. Your ability to remain flexible, inventive, dedicated, and efficient with a high level of integrity and confidentiality is vital to your success. RESPONSIBILITIES: The Assistant Marketing Coordinator is a critical part of our team. Your responsibilities will be to: Plan, create, publish, and manage original, high-quality, engaging content to support Mortenson's internal and external communications efforts Coordinate pre-production planning, production, post-production and publishing efforts for video projects Create and maintain a content calendar leveraging new and repurposed content Assist in special event planning and coordination Establish relationships with a wide range of subject matter experts (SMEs) across a Mortenson's diversified business Develop integrated marketing communications plans to achieve business goals Implement programs, which may include website, feature articles, videos, public relations, social media, advertising, and other mediums to successfully position and differentiate Mortenson in the market Develop and manage internal communication plans Measure results of programs, document learning, and drive continuous improvement Create high-quality graphics and presentations to help craft strategic messaging to key audiences and stakeholders Work with subject matter experts to develop a deep understanding of architecture, engineering and construction to produce relevant and impactful content for our audience Research trends and topics relevant to architecture, engineering and construction audiences Partner with operations leaders to create storyboards, write scripts, and create content for various platforms and channels Effectively work and build relationships with those of diverse backgrounds and organizational levels Support public and media relations, write/edit news releases and other articles Prepare project, company, and team member award submissions and speaking opportunities QUALIFICATIONS and EDUCATION: Excellent writing, communication, problem solving, and teamwork skills with strong attention to detail Proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, Premiere, InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop experience preferred Working technical knowledge of photography and videography concepts like lighting, exposure, composition, and color grading. Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point Experience working with/interviewing subject matter experts (SMEs) for content creation Exceptional writing and editing skills Proven track record of developing effective content marketing strategies Ability to identify and create interesting, relevant, and discoverable content across various platforms and channels Experience defining and leveraging campaign metrics Ability to develop and manage brand campaigns with a focus on social media/digital channels Experience writing and publishing for the web, including SEO best practices Excellent organizational and project management skills Team player with the ability to manage multiple projects, prioritizing effectively to achieve maximum efficienc and successful outcomes Active listening skills and effective communication including an openness to diverse input and feedback Detail orientated and able to organize and prioritize multiple assignments within a fast paced, deadline-driven environment Excellent organizational and multi-tasking skills, with the ability to be flexible Professional, positive attitude with a good sense of humor Ability to travel up to 15% Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Journalism, Communications, or four year(s) of relevant work experience Mortenson reserves the right to hire any individual without legal or financial obligation on unwanted solicitations.
