Job Title: Fan Development Coordinator

Department: Amateur Hockey and Fan Development

Job Reports To: Sr. Manager of Amateur Hockey and Fan Development

Status: Exempt

Major Responsibilities/Activities :

Coordinate, prepare and execute all aspects of Nashville Predators Kids Club including but not limited to creating yearly packages and marketing plan, retaining members year over year, creating new sales, writing and distributing monthly newsletters, and tabling at Nashville Predators events.Creating and overseeing all monthly Kids Club events focusing on interactive activities or games for members and their families.Manage all aspects of orders for Kids Club membership packages.Maintain inventory of past and current Kids Club Pack items including organization and proper storage.Work hand in hand with other Fan Development staff for Preds & Pixels, assist in scheduling and attending events that will benefit Kids Club participantsCreate, organize and develop street hockey programming including leagues, clinics and tournaments throughout the greater Nashville areaOrchestrate team signing days with inventory and distribution.Assist the marketing department with the planning and execution of Gnash's birthday party.Develops, recommends and implements policies, protocols and procedures affecting event planning and administration of amateur hockey and fan development programs.Timely communication with all customer issues, concerns, and feedback as well as offer assistance when applicable.Assist with ensuring registration targets for all amateur hockey and fan development programs are exceeded using a creative and hard-working approach.Execute and manage the NHL and Nashville Predators EverFi/Future Goals program.Identify new grassroots development opportunities to meet department objectives.Assist with development and growth of community relations.Collaborate with various departments to maximize exposure and awareness of Youth Hockey & Fan Development programs.Passion for and knowledge of the game of hockey with emphasis on main goal of developing new hockey fansRun and organize Summer reading program, working with school districts and libraries to encourage participationOther duties as assigned by the Senior Manager, Amateur Hockey and Fan Development.Minimum Requirements :

Four-year (4) degree in Sports Management, Marketing, Business Management or a related field from an accredited college or university.Minimum of two (2) years' experience in professional team sports environment or youth-serving organization.Demonstrated ability to creatively plan, coordinate, and evaluate quality youth programs.Ability to work with children and young adults in a professional manner; upbeat and friendly personality with a passion to increase participation in the sport of hockey.Must currently possess, or be able to obtain, the following certifications: USA Hockey Volunteer/Manager and SafeSport.Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; be organized and take initiative.Possess strong time management skills and the ability to multitask.Strong customer service approach with experience in multitasking with multiple work-intensive projects.Proactive planner with a sense of urgency, creativity, style, and attention to detail.Must be comfortable working a flexible schedule in addition to normal business hours and home games, including weeknights, weekends and holidays.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office Programs.Prior experience playing hockey preferred, but not required.As a condition of employment, qualified applicant will be subject to a background investigation, including a criminal history check, previous employment verification, driving history and character references.Possess a valid driver's license, possess a suitable driving history and be insurable by FIC's insurance carrier.Essential Physical Functions

:

Must be able to lift fifty (50) pounds.Working under extreme deadlines under pressure.Physical activities include sitting, walking, standing, bending, squatting, climbing stairs, kneeling, twisting, lifting, grasping, balancing and handling of materials, and working with arms raised for prolonged periods.Exposure to bright lights, extreme temperatures, and loud noise.Ability to work in a cold environment.
