Founded in 1890, Glen-Gery Corporation is one of the nation’s largest brick manufacturers and operates eight brick manufacturing facilities and one manufactured stone facility. Glen-Gery products are sold nationally through a network of over 500 distributors as well as in Canada.

The Design Studio Manager is responsible for the long-term sustainable growth by gaining specifications for stylish products on volume projects, managing the Design Studio space as a unique event destination. The manager is also responsible for providing input on product development initiatives and assisting with the execution of sales strategy.

SUMMARY OF SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies including but not limited to a weekly events program in line with budget;Establish and maintain relationships with decision makers such as but not limited to, architects, building designers, interior designers, key builders, developers and retail customers;Establish and maintain relationships with internal contacts, with particular focus on sales teams and product development;Develop, manage, and collaborate with Design Studio partners to maintain and build on existing customer baseEncourage strong working relationship with Design Studio partners to ensure superior serviceAchieve budgets and operational costs targetsGrow opportunity targets by developing relationships with architects and designers by direct reach out, attending industry events and office visits as necessaryImplement strategies and tactics to develop new project opportunities and achieve design studio sales targetsDemonstrate expertise in construction documents to provide technical adviceDemonstrate sound working knowledge of Health and Safety policies and proceduresRequired Skills/Abilities

Strong knowledge of technical drawingsGood organizational and communication skillsAdvanced computer skillsExceptional customer service skillsDetail oriented and accurateSupervisory skills including ability to develop subordinates and delegate responsibilityAbility to work under pressure and multi-taskEducation and Experience Requirements

College degree in architectural, interior design, engineering or equivalent experienceKnowledge of building product materials and construction industryThree to five years previous experience in sales/customer service supervision
