REQ NOTESSHIFT HOURS3rd shift 10:30pm-7:00amWORKING DAYSMonday - FridayPAY RATE$11.63 (3rd shift diff .75)LG7OTYesJob Title: PR-Arecibo-Shipping and Receiving Clerk IWhat You'll DoThe Clerk Shipping/ Receiving is responsible for the documentation, transportation, transfer, receipt, shipment of products, documents, packages and parts to our warehouses, customers or internal suppliers. As required may provide transportation services to company personnel including transfers between Eaton's operations in Puerto Rico, airport and/or designated locations. Complies with safety regulations, traffic laws established by the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico and the policies and procedures established by the company.In this Function You WillMain tasks in the shipping area:- Pick up cargo to be shipped in the Production/ Designated area.-Verify that the "Shop Pack" documentation is in accordance with the units to be lifted.- Perform the corresponding release, SA and confirmation of each unit through the AS400/Vista systems.-Handle each relay according to the corresponding shipment mode (Air or Ocean).-Attach Packing Slip to each processed unit.-Move the cargo to be shipped to the containers of each Carrier.-Responsible for storing and handling all documentation related to the shipment.-Prepare manifest of goods to be shipped by sea when required.-Responsible for generating various reports as required.-Contact and coordinate shipments with Carrier as required.Main tasks in receiving area:-Receive, pick up and deliver the received merchandise to the destined areas.-Verify that the "Packing Slip" documentation is in accordance with the package received.-Maintain receipt documents properly organized and filed by date and sequence in compliance with document control requirements and document retention policy.-Perform appropriate receipt process for each unit received through AS400/Vista and PCS (Production Control Systems) systems.-Generate Feeder's receipts (if applicable) with PCS process with instructions from Finance department.-Identify merchandise going for Inspection or presenting problems.-Move and store cargo to designated areas.-Responsible for storing and handling all documentation related to receipt.-Responsible for generating various reports as required.-Coordinate with Carriers and internal departments deliveries as requested.-Follow instructions from Supervisor, Manager or assigned person. Receive, pick up and deliver merchandise received to designated areas.-Routinely or regularly operate a motor vehicle as part of the performance of duties and/or occasionally operate overhead floor cranes.-Maintain discrepancy log of PO's with receiving problems.Main Tasks that apply to both areas of responsibility:In case of requiring backup to the messaging area:-Pick up documents or packages from different departments in the company and take them to their final destination.-Carry packages, raw material and/or shipments, as required.-Ensure that packaging and/or official documentation meets the requirements established by the shipping company.Assist, as required, in the packing of materials and/or documents to be transported.-Provide transportation services to the company's personnel following the transit laws established by the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.-Support the manufacturing area with the transportation and pick up of parts or pieces, as required.Comply with established standards and procedures concerning health, safety and environment.-Demonstrate a high sense of confidentiality of information related to business processes.-Any other duties as assigned.-Customarily or regularly operate a motor vehicle as part of the performance of duties and/or occasionally operate overhead floor cranes.Required Qualifications-Education/Experience/Certifications or Licenses:-Education: Fourth Year of High School.-Experience: Two (2) years in similar or directly related position.-License: Driver's License - CurrentPreferred Skills- Proficiency in using shipping and receiving software systems such as AS400/Vista and PCS.- Experience in coordinating shipments with carriers and internal departments.- Strong organizational skills with the ability to maintain accurate documentation and generate reports as required.- Knowledge of document control requirements and document retention policies.- Familiarity with operating motor vehicles and overhead floor cranes.- Excellent communication skills for coordinating deliveries and interacting with carriers and internal personnel.- Attention to detail to ensure compliance with packaging and documentation requirements set by shipping companies.- Ability to prioritize tasks and follow instructions from supervisors or managers effectively.- Demonstrated commitment to health, safety, and environmental standards in the workplace.- Capacity to maintain confidentiality of business-related information and processes.- Flexibility to perform various tasks as assigned and adapt to changing priorities in a dynamic work environment.**Pay Details:** $11.63 to $12.38 per hourBenefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and a 401K plan.
