Technical Writer_

Job Title: Technical WriterJob DescriptionThis local aerospace company is seeking a technical writer to support a few process engineers with reviewing all aftermarket technical information and building / writing / overhauling the repair process plans.+ Will work closely with this process engineer and or quality process controls engineer to modify and update current work instructions to improve clarity, content, and increase details, input photos when necessary.+ Work instructions need to be step by step and clear so that when it's handed to a mechanic on the floor, they can follow it.Schedule:+ Monday - Friday with 9 hour days, starting between 7-8amKey Responsibilities- Reviewing and interpreting engine manuals and other technical data to develop the methods and processes necessary for the repair and overhaul of complex aircraft engine components.- Determines processes, operation sequence, dimensions and tolerances, and subsequently create and update work instructions and routers / travelers.- Ensure projects are completed as scheduled and in a timely manner.- Coordinate and communicate with other departments (Engineering, Quality, Operations, etc.)- Support the Process Plan Overhaul Team in overhauling Repair Processes and transitioning to Solumina G8.- Engage with hourly workforce for inputs to repair process planning and work instructionsMust Have Qualifications+ 5+ years of technical writing/work instruction/documentation writing experience+ Experience in manufacturing environment+ Experience with Office 365 suite, including Project and VisioJob TypeThis is a contract position with a duration of 16 Month(s).
