The Card Members that use our cards to make purchases, and the businesses that accept them. In Global Merchant & Network Services, we primarily focus on the businesses that accept our cards. We bring together the businesses that lead and evolve the company’s relationships with the millions of merchants around the world that accept American Express, as well as the team that runs the company’s payment network and leads bank partnerships globally. This is an exciting time for GMNS. We are expanding global acceptance of our cards, driving greater usage of our network, using our modern capabilities to bring together broader revenue streams, and driving innovation both in-house and with partners. The Amex Offers team develops strategic marketing partnerships that deliver unique differentiated value for Merchants and Advertisers to reach these high-spending Card Members in the digital channels where they engage with American Express, delivering deep insights and enhancing results. Through this complete marketing solution, we can help advertisers get laser-focused on who our mutual customers are, what they want, and how we can meet their needs.This intern will be joining the Amex Offers Global Center of Excellence (COE), which provides centralized and dedicated support across Strategy, Capability, and Operations enabling teams. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in strategic analysis, market research, and project management. You will contribute to key business decisions and gain insight into the strategic processes of a dynamic organization.**This position will be based in New York, NY****How will you make an impact in this role?**+ Analyze internal and external data and realize growth opportunities to help businesses improve performance and drive growth.+ Conduct research on market trends, customer behavior, and competitive landscape to inform strategic marketing decisions.+ Analyze performance indicators to identify trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.+ Assist in the creation of marketing strategies and plans, including segmentation, targeting, and positioning strategies.+ Develop reports, presentations, and documentation to communicate findings, recommendations, and strategic insights to stakeholders.+ Develop relationships with a variety of internal and external partners.+ Share and leverage standard processes and provide consultancy to team.+ Lead end-to-end marketing initiatives or other customer-focused initiatives; develop and implement tests to measure efficiency.+ Find innovative ways to improve the Amex Offers experience and performance.**Minimum Qualifications**+ Currently enrolled in a full-time bachelor’s degree program+ Students must have a graduation date between December 2025 and June 2026.**Preferred Qualifications**+ Passion for customer marketing, payments innovation, travel industry and new technology trends+ Ability to conceptualize and sell ideas+ Independent thinker who’s organized, has excellent attention to detail, and can multi-task+ Strong analytical, problem-solving/quantitative skills+ Willing to try new things and share fresh perspectives+ Be proficient with analytical and presentation tools, including Excel and PowerPoint+ Excellent written and verbal communication skillsOur team will review completed applications on a rolling basis.
