User Experience Designer

JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: Employee Benefits Corporation is hiring for a User Experience Designer. The User Experience Designer is responsible for leading the design process by collaborating with product and development teams to integrate usability principles during the product development process. This role will advocate for customers, lead research efforts, define and create wireframes and prototypes,and validate user experiences. This person may work in our Middleton, WI office, fully remote (Wisconsin or Minnesota locations only), or a combination of the two depending on availability. Responsibilities Include: Design and refine intuitive user experiences including digital interfaces and communications Create and maintain a comprehensive style guide to ensure design consistency, along with version control and necessary documentation Plan and conduct user research and testing using Presumptive Design Methodologies, along with user interviews, focus groups, card sorting, surveys and other relevant methods Manage usability testing sessions to gather direct feedback on design iterations and refine user interfaces accordingly Utilize research data to identify user preferences, pain points, and needs, informing design decisions and improvements Plan and participate in workshops and collaborative sessions to define future internal and external customer experiences that meet business and consumer needs Develop site maps, user flows, wireframes and high-fidelity prototypes to communicate the visual and interactive aspects of the user interface to agile teams Analyze requirements for information architecture to inform implementation Ensure designs comply with accessibility standards, making digital products inclusive for users with diverse abilities Contribute to detailed user personas and journey maps to enhance understanding of user behaviors and preferences Qualifications: Bachelor\'s degree and at least 5 years of IT digital design experience, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience At least 5 years\' experience using industry standard software tools including Adobe XD, Figma, Miro or Mural Knowledge of fundamental visual design principles, interaction design principles, information architecture and responsive design Proven ability to design for inclusivity and accessibility Experience collaborating with stakeholders for business process design and documentation Experience in defining and executing User Testing Experience conducting and interpreting market research using Presumptive Design Methodologies or similar just-in-time design processes Knowledge of an agile framework or method (i.e. Scrum, Kanban), or understanding of software development life cycle models Knowledge of agile and waterfall project management and implementation theory and methodologies Demonstrated ability to build effective and strategic relationships at...
