We are seeking a strategic and innovative Entertainment Market Research Vice President to help manage one of our teams within our Content Development & Marketing Strategy practice area and contribute to the growth of our business. Our Content Development & Marketing Strategy team is made up of world class researchers who bring unmatched industry expertise, a global perspective, and passion for all consumers in the rapidly evolving entertainment landscape. They connect stories and audiences around the world. They help industry leaders develop, grow, and champion their audiences everywhere, from the intimacy of the small screen to the wonder of the big screen.

In this role, you will oversee a wide range of team members and initiatives across the full project lifecycle from proposal to report delivery. You will bring your intellectual curiosity, entrepreneurial mindset, and storytelling ability to lead research initiatives that help answer important strategic questions around content and marketing from the biggest movie studios, TV networks and streaming platforms. Your Impact

Lead and/or manage execution on all phases of qualitative and quantitative research projects for entertainment clients, including proposal design, methodology approach, questionnaire and discussion guide development, data analysis, and storytelling.Projects may include methods such as concept and greenlight evaluation, brand studies, content optimization tests, messaging/positioning evaluation, creative materials tests, post release and franchise development, market sizing, segmentation and custom landscapes. This team generally works on 10-15 projects concurrently.Translate research data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations through visual, creative and story-driven reports.Lead and develop a team of 6-9 people, giving meaningful feedback on all aspects of a project and training analysts, managers and directors across methodologies, setting career milestones and goals to grow and inspire our talent to reach the next level.Effectively resource the workload within the team, identifying where additional resources may be needed, or when team members can assist other teams.Help to build the vision for the wider practice area and set a vision for your specific team so they will deliver best-in-class, highly consultative research for our clients.Cultivate and foster deep client relationships to successfully execute projects and drive overall business.Serve as a trusted partner to clients, fully understanding their overall business objectives and strategically strengthening the relationship.Provide account development and management, identifying research opportunities for new and existing clients.Partner with Marketing Sciences to ensure advanced analytics are embedded in survey design and analysis as needed.Collaborate with the larger data processing, data sciences and development teams to optimize and develop products, service models and execution, maintaining an emphasis on improvement and innovation.Troubleshoot any complicated issues that arise in an efficient and effective manner.Drive successful project execution, collaborating with senior team members (Directors) and providing oversight to junior team members (Managers/Analysts) in coordinating logistics with internal and external operations teams (programming, fieldwork, facilities, moderators, data processing), and partnering with these teams to drive projects forward on stringent timelines.While this would not be a commercial sales focused role, maintaining current revenue levels through excellent team and client management, and identifying and gaining growth opportunities from existing client relationships to expand into new methodologies or product lines or expanding into new relationships within those client organizations is a core expectation of the role.Identify opportunities and contribute to initiatives to grow the Content Development & Marketing Strategy practice area, including active participation in new business pitches, proposal development and thought leadership initiatives.Innovate our methodologies and product line offerings in the entertainment marketing and production development space, improving on our current offerings and building new methods and identifying innovative solutions to help clients solve their biggest problems.This role will report to the SVP of Content Development and Marketing Strategy and collaborate with other senior leaders regularly.Who We're Looking For

Experience

- We'd love for you to have 9+ years' experience working in consumer research within entertainment.Your degree(s)

- Ideally looking for a B.A./B.S. degree in areas such as Social Sciences, Business, Marketing, Market Research, Statistics, Economics or a related field. Additional degrees or minors in film, media studies are very additive. Additional degrees are also welcome!Passion

- An enthusiasm for research, data driven approaches, and strategic thinking. You live and breathe all things entertainment and enjoy staying up to date on industry trends and developments.Research practitioner

- Expert level understanding and experience with a range of complex qualitative and quantitative research methodologies. Experience with qualitative techniques and approaches across audience (e.g. kids) and platforms (online and in-person).Client-

You're able to find the right strategy and advice for the business question and provide recommendations that clients and their stakeholders feel are well-founded and practical to implement based on your experience on what is and what isn't strong and actionable advice.Data analysis techniques

- Experience with the following data analysis techniques: statistical significance testing, correlation analysis, multivariate analysis techniques (such as cluster/segmentation analysis) and conjoint and discrete choice analysis.Self-starter

Compensation

To comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $140,000-175,000. Actual compensation is influenced by many factors including skill set, level of experience, and location.
