Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Sr Staff UX Strategist with a strong emphasis on research to join our dynamic team. As a Sr Staff UX Strategist at Blue Yonder, you will play a critical role in shaping the user experience across our products and platforms. Your primary focus will be on leading user research initiatives to ensure our solutions are deeply informed by user needs, behaviors, and insights. This is a unique opportunity to drive UX research at a high level, influencing the design and development of products that deliver exceptional user experiences.

Responsibilities:Create research strategies that leverage existing data to complement the additional research that you need to execute. Key to this accountability will be identifying opportunities for growth, gaps and user pain points, as well as potential delighters.Define UX approaches, metrics, and work with others on research planning. Innovate and develop new approaches to measure user's experiences.Execute a variety of qualitative and quantitative research methods such as, but not limited to, user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and card-sorting.Excel at defining user research methods to use to answer questions about users and validate design decisions by gathering data needed for each project, based on product goals, and business/technical constraints.Plan, analyze and communicate competitive market landscape, user-needs, task-flows, conceptual modeling, information architecture design, interaction design, and usability testing.Identify stakeholders across Blue Yonder and bring them along as you provide the qualitative and quantitative user feedback to influence product development at different granularity, from product strategy to cross-platform coherence to feature usability.Produce, independently and in collaboration with other UX researchers, a wide variety of supporting materials, including user requirements specifications, personas, storyboards, scenarios, flow-charts, design-prototypes, customer journey maps as well as design specifications for product design activities.Effectively communicate research findings, conceptual ideas, detailed design, and design rationale both verbally and visually.Work closely with development teams to ensure that design specifications are implemented.Participate as a contributor to an interdisciplinary team that includes other designers, projectmanagement, business owners, software developers and data scientists.Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's or master's in human-Computer Interaction, Human Factors Engineering, Computer Science, Information Science, User Experience Design, or a related field10+ years (8+ years for Master's) of User Experience Research experience in an applied research setting, and (Physical or Digital) product research and development with a multidisciplinary team (Visual, Interaction, ID, Tech Engineer, etc.)Passion about discovering great insights and define opportunity/innovation spaces.Excellent communication skills, presentation skills and organization skills.Preferred qualifications:

Strong both Qualitative and Quantitative research skills; solid analytical skills.Strong understanding of the strengths and shortcomings of different research methods, including when and how to apply them during each product phase.Good understanding of client management and project management. Ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a default consulting process that requires service mentality, willingness to learn and commitment to deliver.Working knowledge of local and global design research markets. Ability to apply design thinking in data gathering and analysis/synthesis activities.Excellent working knowledge of statistics and the principles of experiment design.Working knowledge of at least one of the research tools such as Dovetail, UserZoom, Morae, etc.Experience in designing enterprise-scale software solutions in supply chain industry or related industry is a plusExperience with data-centric analytical or intelligent applications is a plusKnowledge of programming languages (Python, C++, R, or JS) or GitHUb is a plus*This role will be based in our Dallas, TX office

The Salary Range for this position is $130,000 to $165,000

The salary range information provided, reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual salary will be commensurate with skills, experience, certifications or licenses and other relevant factors. In addition, this role will be eligible to participate in either the annual performance bonus or commission program, determined by the nature of the position.
