Senior Analyst, IT Architecture , you will play the lead role in defining technology solutions to achieve this vision of greater efficiency and better experience. You will focus on people, processes, and technology and how to align them towards a better state.This role will have expansive scope across the sales and marketing process, as well as touching on adjacent spaces in order management, accounting, and others. Example challenges:Determine IT architecture for digital marketing systems to automate delivery of the right marketing asset at the right time to prospective and existing customers.Architect data flow to ensure sales teams have a complete 360 view of customer data including services, orders and financials.Architect a system to determine sales deal win probability based on data signals.Use metrics to identify bottlenecks in the sales process and advise on technology powered solutions to improve.Leverage AI connected to our data to enable sellers to save time and make better decisions.Partner with business stakeholders and implementation teams to determine the best technology for a customer collaboration portal.Your main responsibilities will be:Partner with sales, marketing and IT leaders to gain alignment towards vision and goals.Partner with sales and marketing individual contributors to understand ground truths.Understand existing Ciena IT technology landscape and sales/marketing processes.Propose, develop, and document new processes and system architectures to achieve greater sales and marketing efficiency and happier customers.Share and sell future state to executives, leaders and individual contributors in various teams.Partner with delivery teams to ensure execution against the architecture.Mentor business analysts and help them to grow and learn from them to augment your own capabilities.Explore new technologies and capabilities, determine which are applicable (and when) for Ciena.Collaborate with stakeholders to define requirements, deliverables, and set expectations on tasks.Partner with external vendors on solution proposal and development when appropriate.Document all work and best practices for consumption by implementation teams and analysts.Advise on build vs buy, custom vs out of the box, Salesforce vs other system for technology solution decisions.What Does Ciena Expect of You?Initiative

Experience may substitute for a degree.10+ years experience in IT or business, with 5+ focused on sales and marketing.3+ years of experience in Salesforce and or custom software development.Understanding of enterprise integration patterns.Experience in digital selling and marketing platforms for example Salesforce, Hubspot, Marketo, etc.Experience making technology platform evaluations and recommendations.Experience creating presentations for front line workers, team leaders, and C level executives including the key ability to know your audience.Ability to mentor more junior business analysts.Ability to understand complex business systems from all aspects from user experience down to database performance.Compensation and BenefitsThe annual pay range for this position in US is 91,800 - 146,600 USD.The annual pay range for this position in Canada is 78,800 - 126,000 CAD.Pay ranges at Ciena are designed to accommodate variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, reflecting our diverse products, industries, and lines of business. Please note that the pay range information provided in this posting pertains specifically to the primary location, which is the top location listed in case multiple locations are available.Non-Sales employees may be eligible for a discretionary incentive bonus, while Sales employees may be eligible for a sales commission. In addition to competitive compensation, Ciena offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision plans, participation in 401(K) (USA) & DCPP (Canada) with company matching, Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP), Employee Assistance Program (EAP), company-paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation time.
