grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:

Providing administrative oversight of program responsible for the execution of day-to-day administrative functions related to program's strategic communications and internal process development efforts.Ensuring that accurate and appropriately concise and timely information is available to executive management.Ensuring that the program processes and guidance are clearly communicated.Planning and developing strategic communications products, to include fact sheets, talking points, issue papers, scripts, articles, briefing memos, public affairs guidance, press releases, and event notices.Experience:

grade level if you possess 1 year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as:

Reviewing internal policies/processes to ensure that they are current and making updates or recommendations to higher-level supervisor/manager.Explaining complex and/or technical subject matter and distills information into easily understood points.Overseeing the implementation of higher-level policies and guidance and making recommendations to improve processes or adapt guidance for specific situations.Providing and supporting in implementing, coordinating, and executing a variety of communication programs.NOTE:

U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) is a federal law enforcement agency that requires all applicants to undergo a thorough background investigation prior to employment in order to promote the agency's core values of vigilance, service to country, and integrity. During the screening and/or background investigation process, you will be asked questions regarding any felony criminal convictions or current felony charges, the use of illegal drugs (e.g., marijuana, cocaine, heroin, LSD, methamphetamines, ecstasy), and the use of non-prescribed controlled substances including any experimentation, possession, sale, receipt, manufacture, cultivation, production, transfer, shipping, trafficking, or distribution of controlled substances.Residency:

There is a residency requirement for all applicants not currently employed by CBP.
