DATE: 08/13/2024LOCATION: WASHINGTON D.C.EMPLOYMENT STATUS: SALARIED, FULL TIME EXEMPT, ON SITEREPORTS TO: MARKETING MANAGERPosition Summary As part of the Marketing team, this role contributes to the communications strategy and plays an integral part in activities that promote, enhance, and protect Museum of the Bible’s global brand reputation. The Media and Communications Specialist will provide support and organization for the communications department onsite in Washington, D.C. This position requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and familiarity with the history, stories, and impact of the Bible.Duties And Responsibilities

Manage all aspects of social media strategy including daily to weekly content creation, copywriting, scheduling, campaign planning, and daily monitoring (comments, messages, etc.) in coordination with the museum’s PR agency.Coordinate promotion of exhibits, special visits, museum events, etc. on social media in alignment with the museum’s overall communication and marketing strategy.Schedule and execute film productions at the museum.Support the creation of media (earned and social) reports to distribute to the leadership team.Coordinate media visits and support public relations for press events.Provide copywriting and editing support to the department.Fulfill all other duties as assigned (e.g., project management, media/press research, department internship structure, etc.).Education

HS / GED required, 4 year degree preferred.Qualifications
