By joining Verizon as a leader in the Corporate Communications organization, you will have the opportunity to lead communications for Verizon Business Group, a $30 billion business focused on delivering solutions and products to power and empower global enterprises, small and medium businesses, government and public sector customers.This role will oversee all aspects of Verizon Business Group communications and lead a team focused on telling the story of how we serve more businesses than any competitor and the unbeatable solutions we bring to our customers every day. Further, this position will lead a globally dispersed team focused on media relations, employee engagement, thought leadership and reputation management. As a senior Verizon communicator, this individual will also be an active participant in crisis and issues communications and an advisor to leaders across the organization.Responsibilities will include:Develop and execute a comprehensive communication strategy across earned media and owned content that drives company priorities, business goals and product initiatives.Proactively identify opportunities to secure positive media coverage and manage crisis communication when necessary.Build and maintain strong relationships with key media outlets, journalists and influencers in the technology and industry sectors.Engage internal and external stakeholders in innovative ways to drive results and leverage segmentation and targeting to get the right message to the right audience.Be data-driven at the core and proactively integrate new tools and tactics (i.e. AI) to optimize outreach.Provide strategic counsel to the executive team, ensuring a consistent and effective leadership message externally and internally.Lead a high-performing communications team, fostering a culture of trust, care and excellence.Work cross-functionally to address the needs of key stakeholders, including investors, customers, employees and partners.Most of all, you share our belief that people are our most important investment.
