Summary Chobani’s Director of Shopper Marketing will lead shopper marketing for Chobani’s Walmart and Sam’s Club business. The ability to work cross-functionally will be important as this role requires building strong relationships internally, as well as with external retailers and agencies. It is imperative this person is well versed in retail media strategy and execution as they will be responsible for leading, planning, and measuring the impact of our marketing investments. The Director of Shopper Marketing will need to understand shopper behavior within the Walmart and Sam’s Club channels to influence preference, and implement best-in-class shopper programs drive growth. This position will be a people manager and lead a team with remote team members. Responsibilities Responsible for leading, motivating, and inspiring a team of direct reports (including remote) in the development and execution of insights-based, omnichannel marketing plans. Build best in class shopper marketing plans and initiatives that align with goals at Walmart and Sam’s Club. Partner with our agencies to ensure the campaigns are planned and implemented to reach the right target market and drive sales both in-store and online. Track, monitor, optimize and analyze shopper marketing executions; quickly disseminate results and prove return on investment to optimize future spend, understanding programs’ impact on financials Represent the shopper marketing point of view with executives in planning meetings and business reviews. Own, lead & track significant marketing budget, working closely with Sales and Finance leads. Lead, own and negotiate national contracts and budgets with vendors and agencies Perform other duties as necessary Requirements Bachelor’s degree required in a related field 7+ years of CPG customer sales/marketing/agency experience required Experience engaging/partnering directly with customers to develop and launch joint shopper solutions Familiarity and experience with retail media and shopper marketing tactics & vendors Strong project management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and complete under tight timelines Experience converting consumer, category, competitor, and channel/customer insights into marketing plans Ability to optimize executional tactics by striking balance between tried & true with emerging, innovative tactics Demonstrated understanding of account management, customer operations and category management principles Experience in leading creative process and providing feedback to internal and external partners Strong financial competence and understanding of customer data/metrics Passion for building and maintaining relationships, both internally and externally Ability to work collaboratively and influence cross-functional teams Experience linking strategy to implementation Possesses an entrepreneurial spirit Willingness to travel and lead direct reports both locally & remotely About Us Chobani is a food maker with a mission of making high-quality and nutritious food accessible to more people, while elevating our communities and making the world a healthier place. Compensation Range: $144,000.00 - $216,000.00, plus bonus.
