ResponsibilitiesPosition Summary: Lead Company marketing strategy, and oversee the development and execution of marketing budget. This position is accountable for the development and implementation of marketing strategies, selection and retention of marketing staff, supervision of advertising, guidance and direction of direct marketing activities, and all reporting and controls which are generated for tracking and performance review purposes. Position Responsibilities may include, but not limited to:+ To supervise and oversee the activities of the Marketing area (including Brand Managers, Special Events, POS, Signage, and Others.) • Communicate regularly with the brand managers on upcoming events, promotions and opportunities to advance the business in the market.• Leverage multiple platforms and analytical tools to identify and address critical issues including those related to spending efficiency, margin analysis, consumer targeting, marketing mix analysis, pricing strategy and product portfolio analysis.• Analyze growth opportunities in new markets utilizing syndicated data (Nielson, IRI or others) and distribution channels.• Work with third parties to drive marketing strategy, which may include brokers, advertising, packaging, consumer research and product development.• Analyze and evaluate the effectiveness of sales, methods, costs, and results and works with sales team development and functions to execute marketing strategy.• Be well versed with sales data systems in order to: prepare targeted plans, track activity, and report results versus goals.• Coordinate sales efforts with VP of Sales and East Coast leadership to insure implementation of overall strategy and marketing programs.• Enhance supplier relations through development, communication, and monitoring of annual and monthly business plans.• Understand and communicate the supplier’s marketing plans and strategies to managers, sales and delivery teams.• Involve supplier alliances and sponsorships with professional teams, social groups, fan clubs and industry organizations.• Assist with inventory by monitoring seasonal and special order inventory levels. Work with suppliers and brand managers to create reliable suggested orders to assist the Purchasing Manager.• Manage the Point of Sale budget and work closely with suppliers on the order by providing suggestions that work in conjunction with retail needs.• Assure that all brand related activity requiring supplier reimbursement is correctly documented and provided to accounting on a timely basis.• Develop and distribute internal and external sales materials and newsletters.• Any other projects or duties as assigned.QualificationsRequired Skills and Experience:+ 8-10 years brand and/or sales experience in the consumer packaged goods industry.+ Successful performance requires skills in leadership, analytical and creative problem solving, verbal/written communications, influence management and negotiation, work planning and organization, team collaboration, conflict resolution and the ability to motivate and gain cooperation from others.• Ability to produce quality materials within tight timeframes and the simultaneous management of several projects is required.• This position must pass a post-offer background and drug test.Preferred Skills and Experience:+ BA with an emphasis in Marketing or Sales • Previous experience in the development and management of short and long-term business plans, operating budgets and analysisPhysical Demands and Work Environment :Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
