We are seeking a talented and creative Publication Designer to join our team in Fort Collins, Colorado, to help bring our print and digital products to life.Role Overview:As a Publication Designer at Flagship Publishing, you will be responsible for the visual layout and design of our magazines, ensuring they are engaging, visually appealing, and aligned with our brand identity. You will work closely with our editorial team to translate written content into compelling visual stories. This role requires a keen eye for detail, creativity, and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:Design & Layout: Create visually appealing and reader-friendly layouts for print and digital publications, adhering to the publication's design guidelines and standards.Brand Consistency: Ensure all design work is consistent with Flagship Publishing's brand identity and the unique style of each publication.Collaboration: Work closely with the editorial, photography, and production teams to conceptualize and execute creative designs that enhance storytelling.Photo Editing: Select, edit, and enhance photographs and illustrations for use in publications.Pre-Press Preparation: Prepare final files for print, ensuring all specifications are met for high-quality production.Innovation: Stay up-to-date with design trends and software to continually improve and innovate the look and feel of our publications.Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high standards of quality.Qualifications:Experience: 5+ years of professional experience in publication design, preferably in magazine or editorial design.Education: Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field is preferred.Software Proficiency: Advanced skills in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator) and other relevant design tools.Portfolio: A strong portfolio showcasing your design work, particularly in print and editorial design.Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail with a strong sense of typography, color, and composition.Creativity: A creative thinker who can bring fresh ideas and perspectives to the design process.Team Player: Ability to collaborate effectively with a cross-functional team, taking feedback and direction while also contributing your own ideas.On-Site Availability: Willingness to work on-site at our Fort Collins office, with the flexibility to accommodate production schedules.What We Offer:Competitive Salary: Based on experience and qualifications.Benefits: Company-sponsored health insurance, SIMPLE IRA with company match, paid time off, and more.Creative Environment: Work in a collaborative, creative environment where your ideas and designs are valued and have a direct impact.Location: Enjoy the vibrant and scenic setting of Fort Collins, Colorado, with access to outdoor activities, a thriving arts scene, and a great quality of life.How to Apply:Interested candidates should submit their resume, cover letter, and a portfolio of relevant work to careers@ with the subject line "Publication Designer Application - Fort Collins."---Flagship Publishing is an equal opportunity employer.
