SUMMARY

The Manager, Communications is responsible for connecting the in-store associates with the store support center through daily communications sent via email, weekly notes, and the store portals. Works cross-functionally to plan and coordinate quarterly training meetings for field managers. The Manager, Communications plays a key role in keeping in-store associates informed and developing communication strategies based on how associates may be impacted by different policies, procedures, and changes at Hibbett I City Gear that support the overall organizational goals.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Adjust and approve a variety of different content for internal communications channels, including email, printed materials, etc.Utilize communications to reinforce cultural and people initiatives including sales contests/SPIFS, performance management processes, and other key associate-focused programs.Oversee, reimagine, and help execute associate communications channels and tools.Run discovery meetings with associates/team member to design impactful programs that improve our operations and drive sales both online and in-stores.Develop and implement communication and engagement strategies that accomplish Hibbett I City Gear goals in a timely and effective manner.Analyze, build, and adjust team analytics for communications and training programsProtect the company's assets and financial information by ensuring the accuracy and effectiveness of internal control procedures and informing management and/or appropriate officials of potential fraud risk.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES

The Manager, Communications directly supervises the Specialist, Communications and the Coordinator, Communications. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field or equivalent experience5 or more years of experience in communicationsExperience in leadership and coaching and developing employeesExperience working for a retail companyProficient in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
