About the role

Minimum of 5 years of experience in Graphic Design or Visual Communications. Experience in Architecture/ Engineering, Construction, Media Outlets, or Public Education is a plus. This position requires a high level of graphic design or visual communication skills, preferably in a B2B environment. Experience to include layout and design for both print and digital, brand development, and photo editing. Ability to build and maintain a good rapport with marketing team personnel, architectural designers, and outside clients. This role should also be familiar with the strategic marketing objectives for social platforms including Facebook, Instagram, X, LinkedIn, and YouTube.

The primary objective of the role is to develop and support K-12 political bond campaigns through graphical design components across all mediums. This position requires an ability to manage and complete multiple projects with a critical eye for detail and the ability to shift modes of operation seamlessly.

Requirements

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Assist with marketing strategy, planning, implementation, and creative deliverables for internal and external clientsResponsible for both design and production of creative materialsPrepare approved artwork for bond campaign production across multiple platformsCreate and manage bond campaign branding templatesExecute changes or edits across bond campaign deliverablesWork with Marketing Managers and Coordinators on bond campaign and client deliverablesManage layout, typography, and photography decisionsWorking knowledge of print standards and print production of both large and small print formatStrong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and layout techniquesEager to learn and be a team player with strong communication and organization skillsAbility to manage quality control and attention to design detailTake direction from other graphic designers and marketing team membersCollaborate and work with team members to meet client deadlinesWork efficiently in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment, with the ability to work independently and collaborativelyCreate brand marketing or promotional materials as needed for the company, including brochures, banners, posters, flyers, presentations, social media graphics, branded documents, and moreQualifications

Bachelor's degree in graphic design strongly preferred5 years of experience in a graphic design roleExperience in Architecture/Engineering, Construction, Media Outlets, or Public Education is a plusProficient with Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop, InDesign, and IllustratorTeam oriented with strong collaboration and communication skillsMultitasking abilities and outstanding time management skillsUnderstanding the visual elements such as type, layout, fonts, etc.Please submit a portfolio of work/college projects when applying to this roleBasic Skill Set

Reports

Graphic Designer I will report to the Senior Graphic Designer.

Continuing Education/ Expertise/ Leadership

Participate in seminars, conventions & organizations relevant to Marketing and Graphic Design, to stay up to date on the latest best practices and techniques. Additional participation in Architecture and School Design events may be required (SMPS, AMA, TSPRA, TASA/ TASB conventions, AIA seminars).

Thought Leadership

Obtain and promote knowledge about design, technology, social media, content production, bond planning, and multi-medium campaigns.
