Working in collaboration with Marketing, Communications, and Creative Services staff, the Graphic Designer will conceptualize, design, and produce customer/marketing print and digital materials for all Dallas Area Rapid Transit (external customers), Marketing/Communications Department and other DART Departments (internal clients).Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Develop concepts, designs, and produces art for a variety of print and digital projects.Continually collaborate with internal team throughout the brainstorm, concept, design and review processes ensure seamless execution of typography and composition throughout all designs.Prepare and present concepts to Creative Services leadership and Marketing Services team.Respond quickly to design challenges and feedback, and proactively anticipate needs for different teams and projects.Ensure brand consistency throughout all projects by maintaining accuracy and attention to detail on a variety of projects simultaneously throughout the creative and production process.Provide thoughtful creative feedback to team members and contractors. Ensure work is high quality and reflects the goals of the project.Prioritize and time manage multiple projects efficiently to ensure that all work is delivered on schedule and any challenges are addressed ahead of time.Demonstrate good file management by adhering to DART storage and archival guidelines.Maintain knowledge of design and industry trends as well as new technological developments in the marketing environment. Recommend improvements to efficiency and effectiveness.Performs other related duties as assigned.MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:Note:

An equivalent combination of related education and experience may be substituted for the below stated minimums excluding High School Diploma, GED, Licenses, or Certifications.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Communication Arts with emphasis on Graphic Design or related field.Three (3) years' experience as a Graphic Designer in an advertising agency, graphic design studio, or corporate design environment.Proficiency of MAC software applications to include Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel), Adobe Creative Suite CC (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) or other related software.Pass a physical (medical) examination that includes a drug screen in order to operate DART non-revenue vehicles.Knowledge of fonts and typography, color calibration.Knowledge of the CMYK printing process and preparing digital files for print and promotional merchandise vendors, as well as digital and mobile devices.Ability to be dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. Gets first-hand customer information and uses it for improvements in products and services. Acts with customers in mind. Establishes and maintains effective relationships with customers and gains their trust and respect.Ability to make good decisions (without considering how much time it takes) based upon a mixture of analysis, wisdom, experience, and judgment). WORKING CONDITIONS

Works in an environment where there is minimum exposure to dust, noise, or temperature. May be moderately exposed to unpleasant working conditions to include dust, noise, temperature, weather, petroleum products, and chemicals while visiting DART's operating facilities, assuming incumbent is observing all policies and procedures, safety precautions and regulations, and using all protective clothing and devices provided.
