The incumbent will lead the video content team to enhance MDH's digital media strategy.This position leads Comms’s video content managers in creating quality content for social media channels, Web pages, campaigns, events and newsletters, media inquiries, press releases and other materials as needed, serving to both reinforce the strong connection between MDH administrations, offices, and departments and the Office of Communications and to drive content deadlines.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSQualified candidates must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with at least five years of experience in audio and video production within a professional film or television environment.DESIRED OR PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONSPreferred candidates should possess the following: Advanced knowledge of and hands-on experience with both in-studio and field cameras, lighting, and audio systems Advanced knowledge and hands-on experience with Adobe Creative Cloud - Premiere and Canva. After Effects, Audition, Illustrator, and Media Encoder a plus. Working knowledge of industry-standard video editing techniques and comfortable with different editing styles (documentary, commercial, etc.) Experience leading or supervising employeesSELECTION PROCESSThis is a Management Service position, and serves at the pleasure of the Appointing Authority.
