What You Will Do:@GarnierUSA is looking for a highly motivated social media and content marketing expert with 7+ years experience to help drive best-in-class paid and owned social media for the Garnier master brand, which includes CSR programs to leverage the brand’s Greener Beauty equity, and product categories including skincare, hair color, and hair care. The Sr Mgr/Director will be responsible for working with the team on strategy, planning, execution and reporting results to management. This role reports into the Assistant Vice President of Brand Engagement.

This role is critical for creating a cool, elevated but accessible reputation for the brand on owned TikTok, Meta, Pinterest and YouTube. The goal of this candidate is to help us build brand love and advocacy on Garnier social platforms, grow an engaged community of Gen Z and millennial consumers and recruit new into the brand.

Key Job ResponsibilitiesUnderstand @GarnierUSA’s unique green beauty brand positioning and stay true to brand equity through all social content that ladders up to the category strategy and global brand vision across paid and owned programsCreate and manage the execution of Garnier’s owned/organic platform strategy. Have a strong point of view on how we grow and expand our presence on each channel and differentiate from other mass beauty brands.Ability to closely collaborate with the AVP, Director of A&I, Content Manager, Community Manager, DMI & cross-functional teams to ideate and execute the social strategy (including channel strategy, persona, tone and KPIs) and leverage results internally for monthly and quarterly reportsThoroughly understand ever-evolving social marketing landscape and liaise with CDMO team on corporate guidelines, best practices and the evolution of ROICounsel DMI team and Marketing teams on the brand’s social strategy, insights and best practices to help them upskill and best collaborate with the brand engagement team on global initiatives and new U.S. product launches and campaignsCollaborate with A&I Director, Media and Marketing on paid social media campaigns with an eye toward brand awareness and channel engagementLiaise with agencies in developing social and content programmingSupport AVP and A&I Director in developing CSR activation programsManage two direct reports on social media and content

What We Are Looking For:7+ years’ experience in social media marketing for a brand (in-house or agency)Proven change-maker. You’ve got ideas and make them happen.Beauty, CPG, or Fashion experience is preferredExperience managing agencies and vendorsAbility to manage budgets accuratelyExpert in social media landscapeStrong analytic skills. Experience with social tools like Rival IQ, Traackr, Sprinklr is a plusCollaborative spirit and ability to work cross-functionally with many different teams on projectsStrong interpersonal skills (written and oral)Strong appreciation for our business / sensitivity to métierDemonstrated L’Oreal USA Competencies: Strong leadership and organizational skills, entrepreneurial management, achiever and innovatorMust be professional, energetic and have a positive attitudeCreative thinking a mustStrong knowledge of competitive space and pop cultureAbility to travel for work outside of NYC (mostly LA and Miami)
