We're looking for a VP of Marketing to build, operationalize, and scale all aspects of our marketing organization. This person will provide strategic leadership and articulate the vision, but will also have a firm grasp on the tactics needed to reach our goals and execute alongside the team when needed. Primary objectives are to strengthen Truepic's market position, increase brand awareness, drive the acquisition of net-new logos, and support customer engagement and retention.

Role Overview

Set the Marketing vision and direction

Define our strategy, create and oversee the execution of a detailed roadmapArticulate a compelling vision and link strategic goals to tacticsReview and optimize the marketing budget

Strategic brand management

Implement a brand strategy that properly differentiates our business lines across key customer groupsEstablish our position as leader in the Digital Content Authenticity marketReinforce and elevate our position as market leader in the Digital Verification spaceUnify our messaging across business lines and cross functional teams

Conduct ongoing market research and analysis

Define customer segments and personasDevelop a clear, data-driven understanding of product-market fit in each segmentIdentify and map the competitive landscape

Has experience anchored in Product Marketing but understands demand gen and brand marketing.Has led, scaled, and optimized marketing operations in a B2B SaaS startup.Loves to build, coach, and enable well-rounded marketing teams (and has done this remotely).Has made the transition from building ($0 - $25M ARR) to scaling and optimizing ($25M to $100M).Is comfortable managing multiple product lines at various stages of product-market fit.Is good at evaluating, implementing, operationalizing technologies.Leads through influence, building consensus across groups and personalities.Leverages data to make decisions.Is an empathetic, user oriented marketer.Is mission driven and passionate about creating something that makes a difference in the world.

Truepic is a Series B startup backed by Microsoft, Adobe, Sony and Hearst. Our team is fully distributed which means we place a heavy focus on outcomes and value trust, transparency, and autonomy in the way we operate. Truepic provides two critical services for maintaining order and authenticity in the era of AI: securing and verifying images at the point of capture with our Vision and Lens products, and creating transparency across the internet through the Sign and Display of digital content.

Not only is our technology proprietary but we're building a strong community at the forefront of the image authenticity movement. As founding members of the Coalition for Content Provenance and Authenticity (C2PA), we're working alongside companies like Intel, Microsoft and Adobe to develop a set of technical standards for certifying the source and history of media content. We also created the world's first openly digital transparent Artificial Intelligence video to highlight the need for transparency within all digital content, including the Generative AI space.
