Ensure you read the information regarding this opportunity thoroughly before making an application.The Lead - Pricing & Offer Strategy position will lead the creation and implementation of next generation pricing and offer segmentation strategies for the residential line of business. The position will leverage advanced analytics to create financial models that optimize customer counts & margin delivery, as well as utilize strong project management skills to ensure flawless rollout of key initiatives to the market. The Lead will manage analytical pricing decisions and strategic recommendations for acquisition and renewal offer strategies. The Lead will mentor / indirectly oversee 1-2 junior-level ICs to support enterprise objectives and communicate and work cross-functionally with all employee levels (including executive leadership) to ensure successful implementation of key customer segmentation initiatives.Job Description

Key Accountabilities

Lead the development of quantitative models & pricing/margin visualizations necessary for evaluation and implementation of new pricing strategies and product changes

Leverage company data to identify customer segmentation opportunities and develop proposals to address them; create test scenarios to evaluate efficacy of proposed strategies and work with business stakeholders to implement

Partner with sales team to analyze and manage customer acquisition go-to-market strategies across various sales channels; implement initiatives to maximize customer lifetime value through retention offer management

Develop financial models to optimize pricing and product hierarchies for new and existing customers throughout their life cycles

Actively project manage the rollout of key initiatives through cross-functional teams, providing analysis expertise, offering original perspectives, and challenging the conventional view to align decision-making and adapt to changing market conditions.

Create complex deep dives to analyze performance of key initiatives and recommend strategic changes to improve outcomes

Work collaboratively with marketing services, operations, financial planning & accounting, product development, legal & regulatory, and other support functions to gain alignment on proposed strategies

Achieve margin goals while supporting company-wide efforts to minimize losses

Education, Experience, & Skill Requirements

5-7+ years relevant professional experience.

Strong experience creating advanced financial models

Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

Experience with SQL/Python and Tableau visualizations preferred

Excellent communication sills, oral & written; ability to work collaboratively.

Superior time management and organizational skills.

High School diploma or equivalent required.

Experience working in the electricity industry and/or competitive retail markets preferred

Key Metrics

Achievement of profitability targets (EBITDA, Contribution Margin) in current year plan and Long Range Plan

Achievement of Customer Count targets in current year plan and Long Range Plan

Level of negative customer impact (e.g. PUC complaints, incidents, BPEM cases)

Development of clear, concise, and effective executive level reporting and presentations

Demonstration of the ability to adapt quickly to changing strategic situations, design recommendations that address the issues, and build cross-functional consensus to drive needed change
