Interested in learning more about this job Scroll down and find out what skills, experience and educational qualifications are needed.The Amazon Advertising User Experience (AUX) team is looking for a senior design leader to develop and scale design teams dedicated to creating innovative experiences that connect brands/businesses/agencies with their customers; globally and at scale. In this role, you’ll lead (and grow) a high-performing team of UX professionals (managers, designers, writers, design program managers, and researchers)—working collaboratively with engineering and product management and senior leadership through all aspects of the product development life-cycle.This role leads an area of strategic significance for our flagship products including self-service Advertising Console. You'll have the opportunity to build new advertising solutions starting with product definition. Most importantly, you will have a direct impact on the customer experience of advertisers, agencies, and brands globally.Key job responsibilities

Responsibly and effectively advocate for customers and UX as a discipline. This includes owning high level escalations, influencing with strategic design leadership that fosters a shared understanding of the customer-centric intersection between design, content, business and technology needs.Hire, retain, and develop a diverse team of design leaders. Create a culture of inclusion and creativity. Delegate appropriately, audit and inspect regularly.Raises the bar on design quality, end-to-end process and deliverables. Spends majority of time on the overarching portfolio strategy, negotiating priorities, and driving clear solutions with cross-functional product and tech directors using extensive expertise and high judgement.Drives the mechanisms used by the design team to get alignment on customer problems and product vision. Ensures that we have the right scalable systems and mechanisms that enable federation of design work without sacrificing quality.Maintains healthy relationships with partners and stakeholders in locations around the world; prioritizes based on customer need, not internal interests; exhibit excellent judgment and resolve challenging issues to move the product forward.Works proactively through the ambiguity of understanding customer needs, defining new products, and applying new technologies. Can bring structure to ambiguity or uncertainty. 15+ years of experience as a user experience designer, interaction designer, product designer or similar role designing mobile, web, and/or other applicationsAn online portfolio of work demonstrating experience creating great user-centered design solutions across desktop and mobile devicesExcellent communication, presentation, and storytelling skillsProven experience with rapid, iterative design and development processesProven track record presenting to and influencing people, from other designers to senior executive management, on goalsExperience leading projects in a collaborative multi-disciplinary team including designers, researchers, writers, product managers and software developersFluency in best practices for multi-modal experiences and design, as well as strong knowledge of usability principles and techniquesBachelor’s, or equivalent degree, in Design, HCI, or related field.PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

10+ years of experience successfully leading and managing scaled design teams of 40+Strong bias for action including the ability to juggle multiple priorities and effectively deliver in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentBe willing to roll up the sleeves to meet business and product deliverablesDesign operations experience required to drive organizational excellence in design, product roadmaps, project planning, and resource prioritizationPossess excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal and analytical skillsExperience with advertising products and technologyAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
