Make sure to apply quickly in order to maximise your chances of being considered for an interview Read the complete job description below.We are seeking a Director of Employee Communications to join American Tower’s Corporate Human Resources organization. Day to day, you will lead employee communications for American Tower’s largest global division, U.S. Tower (UST). You will deepen employee engagement through strategic and creative multi-year communications plans and provide expertise across a broad range of employee, management, and business communications programs. The Director is a highly visible, cross-functional leadership position that maintains, develops, and implements high-impact employee communications in support of American Tower’s strategy and business objectives. The Director partners closely with UST’s President and Senior Vice President of Human Resources, other key executives, business leaders, and other Human Resources team members to drive key initiatives, including identifying communication objectives, brainstorming creative solutions, and developing and executing communications plans using multiple channels.

What You Need to Succeed

Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations or related field required.

Master’s degree in Communications or related field preferred.

Minimum of 10 years of a combination of corporate, internal, and executive communications, along with event management experience required.

Minimum of 7 years of advising and writing for executive leaders required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills; proven storyteller capable of creating compelling and engaging narratives.

Strong knowledge of best-in-class internal communications practices and a keen interest in next-generation communications tools.

Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate complex dynamics, anticipate future needs and make strategic decisions in a changing environment.

Strong strategic and problem-solving skills to effectively influence decision-making with a proven ability to build agreement on cross-functional communications and initiatives.
