Mercure Queenstown Resort is looking for a dynamic Sales and Marketing Executive to showcase our exceptional conference and leisure facilities. With breathtaking views over the Remarkables and Lake Wakatipu, you will play a crucial role in driving new and incremental business across the Leisure, Meeting & Events, and Corporate segments to achieve our budgeted revenue goals.Reporting to the General Manager, your key responsibilities include:Develop and Implement Sales Strategies:

Drive meeting and events sales in line with the hotel's budget, ensuring sustainable growth.Banquets Stream Management:

Oversee the banquet operations, ensuring high conversion rates and profitability through accurate forecasting and data analysis.Client Relationship Management:

Build and maintain strong relationships with both new and existing clients, fostering long-term partnerships.Event Planning and Coordination:

Create and distribute Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) as per the event calendar, ensuring seamless execution.Social Media Management:

Lead the strategy for Mercure Queenstown’s social media channels, driving engagement through active planning and timely responses.Qualifications

About youAt least 2 years’ experience in a similar role with a proven track record in sales conversions.Strong organisation, communication and relationship building abilities.A team player who is capable of contributing effectively within a collaborative team environment.Previous experience within the hotel and tourism industry will be highly regarded.Must have current NZ work rights.Additional Information
