We are seeking a
Visual Designer
to join our team. This is a hybrid opportunity out of our Waltham, MA office.Job Summary
Imprivata's Visual Designer is uniquely positioned to help health care providers deliver services to patients faster and more effectively through the use of intuitively designed digital identity management experiences. Your work directly impacts the welfare of others. The Visual Designer works closely with Product Designers to design and define interface patterns, layouts and visual styles for existing products, and provides Software Engineering with visual assets for development. This role maintains and expands on the visual style guides for Imprivata products, in alignment with the corporate brand strategy. The Visual Designer creates graphics, feedback mechanisms, and visualizations that make interactions meaningful, useful, and accessible.Duties And Responsibilities
Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team including Product Designers, Product Managers, and Software Engineers to build an elegant and appealing experience for our end users that are meaningful and accessible.Ensure consistency in visual design, illustrations, and pattern library for desktop, web, and mobile applications.Contributor of patterns and visual styles, created in partnership with Product Design.Create icons and graphic assets for mobile, web, and desktop applications to be developed by engineering across the Imprivata portfolio.Evaluate products and make suggestions to improve the visual appeal.Create and execute highly polished visual designs under the guidance of the Manager, Visual Design.Experience in creating elegant data and informational visualizations.Turn sketches and wireframes into high fidelity mockups.Collaborate with marketing to ensure branding and voice for our customers and users.Participate in customer design validation sessions.Other duties as assigned and required.Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, or similar and 2 plus years’ experience as a visual designer, interaction designer, data visualization or a related field.Excellent portfolio of work on desktop, web, and mobile applications.Experience working on enterprise desktop and web-based applications in an Agile work environment.High attention to detail and willingness to learn new things.Ability to articulate design concepts and rationale to development teams.Ability to apply typography, composition, and color theory successfully.Knowledge of user-centered design and usability principles as they pertain to visual design.Proficient user of Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, or similar, and prototyping tools.Experience with Design systems is desirable.Excellent written and verbal interpersonal, communication and presentation skills.Excellent planning, organization, and time management skills.Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.This position offers a salary range of $105,800.00 to 115,800.00 (inclusive of variable compensation such as bonuses and incentives). In addition, more information about Imprivata’s benefit offerings can be found here. This salary range represents the high and low end of Imprivata’s salary range for this position.
