St. Gregory the Great Catholic Church is seeking a dedicated and experienced Parish Music Director to lead the music ministry for three weekend Masses two in English and one in Spanish. Serves as accompanist at the liturgies including Holy Days, Feast Day, and special liturgies. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of Catholic liturgy, a passion for fostering congregational participation through music, and the ability to work collaboratively with the parish staff and volunteersRequirements
Plan, coordinate, and lead music for three weekend Masses (two English, one Spanish).Select and prepare liturgically music in alignment with the liturgical calendar.Direct and rehearse with the parish choir(s), musicians, and cantors.Collaborate with the parish liturgy team to ensure cohesive worship experiences.Incorporate bilingual music as needed to reflect the parish community.Communicate regularly with choir members, musicians, and parish staff.Oversee the maintenance and operation of musical equipment.Arranging and scheduling professional musicians for Weddings, Funerals, Quinceañera, Easter, Christmas including instrumentalist, as needed.Rehearsing cantors, and instrumentalist as needed.Serve on the Liturgy Committee.This is a part-time position requiring approximately 25 hours a week.Wage Range
