Seeking an accomplished venue professional to plan, direct, and promote this world-class venue.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Build a comprehensive marketing, communications, and public relations strategy that positions LIVE as a “must book” destination for corporate meeting planners, special event managers, community organizations, and others.

Create remarkable experiences

for clients and guests that create buzz and excitement in the entertainment industry and beyond.

Partner with the Town at Trilith, Trilith Studios, Trilith Foundation, & Trilith Institute to create the seamless delivery of events, programs and activities.

Solicit and secure meetings & conventions, trade shows, & community events.

Represent the venue in industry-related regional and national tradeshows.

Arrange and host facility tours for potential lessees; address questions and provide information regarding facility specifications and capabilities.

Participate in the development and administration of annual budget; forecast funds necessary for staffing, equipment, materials and supplies.

Prepare bid proposals and follow through on pending bookings.

Prepare and ensure compliance with all rental/lease agreements.

Coordinate the sales pre-event correspondence and meetings.

Manage venue social media platforms including Google Business, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram. Continuously develop and post content to drive online traffic to Trilith LIVE’s social platforms.

Plan and oversee the facility’s advertising, promotion and publicity activities including print, electronic and direct mail outlets.

Develop and recommend pricing strategy for the organization which will result in the greatest share of market over the long run.

Prepare reports on sales revenue projections, marketing studies, client satisfaction and other relevant sales and marketing issues.

Network within the market to develop a broad base of promotional partners.

Participate with community, industry-related associations, committees, task forces and local service organizations.

In partnership with key city stakeholders and DMO, analyze challenges, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and make decisions in support of organizational objectives.

Rotate with other facility personnel to function as Manager on Duty (MOD), who maintains total responsibility and authority over all clients, staff personnel, patrons, security, and safety as assigned. Responsibilities include but are not limited to making sure contractual agreements are met and clients’ event requirements and changes have been made in a timely fashion. On-duty staff/subcontractors ultimately report to the

MOD through any Managers or Supervisors who are present during the event.

Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends, and holidays when required.

Other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Directly supervise Managers, Assistants or Coordinators in the Sales and Marketing Department.

Sample responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Education and/or Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field from an accredited four-year college or university

Minimum of five (5) years in the field of hospitality, convention, hotel, trade show or meeting room sales and marketing; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

2-3 years of supervisory experience.

Knowledge and experience with conventions and event planning.

Advanced proficiency in operating a computer and other office devices and using Microsoft Office including Excel, Outlook and Word.

Experience exceeding customer expectations in this industry or a related field.

Proficiency in public relations; oral, written and interpersonal communication; public speaking; contract negotiation; sales forecasting, and sales and marketing.

Ability to deliver results under time constraints; function effectively in moderate to high pressure situations and within office/facility environments with moderate to loud noise levels.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to move around the facility; to stand for long hours during events; talk and hear. This position may require work inside or outside of the building, as needed by events.
