Must be a pro-active, forward thinker and have the ability to support product design strategies. The role requires a team player that has experience building strong relationships with internal cross-functional teams and external partners.Manage and design of multiple product lines for seasonal businesses; manage process and prioritize schedules of team members based on product development calendarCollaborate with multiple merchants on various lines of business to design fun collections and innovative product infusing story and ensuring product is on brandAttend fit sessions ensuring character likeness is capturedEvaluate trends and consumer insights to identify new business, explore current design trends and innovations and create concept boards for presentationCreate innovative new products through collaborative team brainstorming and explorationPrepare all necessary components for design presentations and product review meetingsWork closely with 3rd party vendors, fostering strong partnerships and ensuring seemless communication throughout the design and production processProvide accurate design overlays based on strong understanding of fabrications, cost, testing issues and productionQualificationsDegree in Fashion DesignMinimum 7 years design/product development experience within the Ready to Wear or costume industryLicensing experience is a plusKeen eye for detail and strong organizational skillsKnowledge of product manufacturingand process; experience with PLM systems a plusExcellent interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across teamsDemonstrated ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic work environmentAbility to multi-task and handle several projects simultaneously
