Summary The Air Force offers qualified applicants opportunities to be hired for certain occupations covered by Direct Hire Authorities (DHA). Responsibilities DR-0801-02 Directs, coordinates and oversees work through subordinate employees. Advises and provides counsel to employees regarding policies, procedures, and directives of senior management. Utilizes multidisciplinary professional engineering work involving the application of electronics, mechanical, systems, aerospace, and/or other engineering disciplines to plan, organize, lead and coordinate research projects and/or processes. Applies a number of diverse engineering practices, techniques, and processes to identify and resolve issues, as well as ensure resolutions are consistent with program objectives, existing policies, and procedures. Performs analysis and uses systematic, disciplined, and quantifiable approaches to manage projects related to human performance research, education and/or consultation. Determines how best to accomplish multi-disciplinary engineering objectives, develops and evaluates alternatives, designs and conducts experiments, analyzes and interpret results, publishes papers and technical reports, delivers presentations of results, and monitors in-house activities. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications You must meet the following qualification requirements for the 0801 occupational series by the closing date of the announcement and provide documentation to support your qualifications: pm.gov/policy-data-oversight/classification-qualifications/general-schedule-qualification-standards/0800/general-engineering-series-0801/ To qualify for this position, you must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 broadband. Experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the work of the positions to be filled.
